    Laksmanji,
In the first line of 'vaduvaraiyai', is it nANAkki, or is it nArAkki?
I assumed it was the latter, because vAsuki served as the cord for the khIrasAgara manthanam.
And I think in the Pallavi of the next song, 'shiva, shiva', it should read 'mamAparAdham kshamasva' (tvam is left unsaid), and not 'khamasya'.

Tamil: Yadum maiee Nindrai, Iraiva Engum maiee Nindrai....

    Tamil Devotional Song:
Yadum maiee Nindrai, Iraiva Engum maiee Nindrai...

Can anyone shed some light regarding this song more specifically:

    1. Whether it is a classical or cinematic song?
    2. Where do I get the entire song? If the song is embedded in a music album, let me know the name and availability.
    3. If there is a weblink to this song, please share.
    Ka-itrathu Kai Aallavu, Ka-illathatu Ulagalavu.

    Translation:
What we know is tantamount to the size of a hand, what we don't know is tantamount to the size of the universe.

    Slokam

You might have probably heard the famous rendering of Kanjadalayathakshi by MS. She has sung a slokam before singing this song:
    Shive shringarartha etc
Would anyone help me to get the lyrics/script of this slokam or the source for me to look at and also the meaning?
    Thanks

It is the 51st shlOka from Adi sankarA's soundarya lahari describing 8 moods or expressions of pArvatI:
shivE shrungArArdrA (love when she sees shivA); tad itara janE kutsana parA (contempt at other men); sarOshAm gangAyAm (anger or jealousy at ganga); girisha charitE vismayavatI (wonder at the deeds of shivA); harAhibhyO bhItA (fear at the sight of the serpents that adorn shivA as garlands); sarasiruha sowbhAgya jananI (valour - hinted at by the reference to the red-tinged lotus like eyes); sakhI sushmErA (palyfulness with her sakhI's); tey mayi jananI drushtih sakarunayA (and compassion when the divine mother looks at her ardent devotee).
    Hope this helps.

Thanks for presenting a Good Keerthana-Saahithya of Aarabhi Raga.... ...."Sree Saraswathi Namoasthuthae...".

But I am sorry to point out that according to what I have been taught as also heard from leading musicians too.. since the past more than 60 years....

... TWO WORDS need correction as below.

N.B : My Tamil-English Transliteration-Style is the Sanga- Tamil-Style (Based on Tamil-Syllables... as we pronounce... unlike all other Styles which are Letter-based)

    ---------------------

    shrI sarasvati namOstutE.Raga: Arabhi.Tala: rUpakam

// P: shrI sarasvati namOstutE. varadE. paradEvatE shrIpati gaurIpati guruguha vinutE vidhiyuvatE //

So far my Knowledge goes there is NO word.. “Varadhae”. Here.

    //C: vAsanA traya vivarjita varamuni….” bhAvita”…. mUrttE vAsavAdyakhila nirjara//

Instead of the word ...”bhaavitha”.... It must be . “Vandhitha”

    -----------------------

    Am I wrong ?
    Most INVALUABLE TREASURE is.. Time.
    Spend it MEANINGFULLY Spread effectively.
