A R Rahman in a Malayalam film

Recent news doing the rounds is that the Mozart of Madras, A R Rahman, who hadn't worked in any Mollywood flick after his debut film 'Yoddha', will be soon seen again in Malayalam soon. But that will be in a different avatar.

The buzz is that the ace musician will be playing a role on screen in the latest Mammootty flick, 'Track with Rahman' to be directed by Jayaraj.

The movie to be made simultaneously in Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi, will have the megastar as an investigative officer, who is in Mumbai to track the reality behind the mysterious death of an young man who landed in Mumbai to sing a track for a famous singer.

The film is expected to roll in a couple of months.

Malayalam Superstar Mammootty's upcoming trilingual Track with Rahman has a surprise element! As the title suggests, Oscar winning musician A.R. Rahman will make a special appearance in the film. More details are awaited

The film will be simultaneously made in Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. Veteran film maker Jayaraj is directing this film, apart from penning the story and screenplay. The film will give ample importance to music and action. Besides Mammootty, Jayasuriya will also play prominent roles. Music is composed by Sreenivasan while Ajay Vincent handles the camera.

இசையமைப்பாளர் ஏ.ஆர்.ரஹ்மானுக்கு காங்கிரஸ் கட்சி சார்பில் 'இந்திராகாந்தி தேசிய ஒருமைப்பாடு' விருது வழங்கப்படுகிறது.

காங்கிரஸ் கட்சி சார்பில் மறைந்த முன்னாள் பிரதமர் இந்திரா காந்தி பெயரில் தேசிய ஒருமைப்பாடு விருது வழங்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது.

2009 ஆம் ஆண்டுக்கான இந்த விருது, பிரபல இசையமைப்பாளரும், ஆஸ்கார் விருது பெற்றவருமான ஏ.ஆர்.ரஹ்மானுக்கு வழங்கப்படுகிறது. அவருடன், ராமகிருஷ்ணா ஆசிரமத்தின் நாராயண்பூர் (சதீஷ்கார்) கிளைக்கும் இந்த விருது பகிர்ந்து அளிக்கப்படுகிறது.

இந்த விருது ரூ.2 லட்சத்து 50 ஆயிரம் ரொக்கப் பரிசு மற்றும் பாராட்டு பத்திரத்தை கொண்டது.

டெல்லியில் அக்டோபர் மாதம் 31 ஆம் தேதி நடைபெறும் இந்திரா காந்தி நினைவு நாளின்போது, ரஹ்மானுக்கு காங்கிரஸ் தலைவர் சோனியா காந்தி இந்த விருதை வழங்குகிறார்.

மறைந்த முன்னாள பஞ்சாப் முதல்வர் பியாந்த்சிங், முன்னாள் ஜனாதிபதிகள் அப்துல் கலாம், சங்கர்தயாள் சர்மா, திரைப்பட இயக்குனர் ஷியாம் பெனகல், திரைப்பட பாடலாசிரியர் ஜாவீத் அக்தர் உள்ளிட்டோர் இந்த விருதைப் பெற்றுள்ளனர் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

Hrithik puts Paani on hold

So it was understandable why he decided to put Shekhar kapur’s much-hyped Paani in the backburner as of now. Apparently, the actor wasn’t too happy with the draft and spotted some glitches. He has requested Shekhar to make some changes. The director understood the actor’s predicament and has decided to do the needful.
