I am not a big fan of Bevan. Not an exciting player for me to watch.

Tough choice between Klusener and Symonds.

Klusener is a choice of the hearts. As a school boy I've always wondered at the miracles pulled by Klusener. During the period from his ODI debut to 2000 season he was unstoppable. Saved many matches for SA. A very good player to boot with. Useful bowler.

Symonds: Arguably the best lower order hitter. Can smash attacks and consolidate at will. Main architect of Aus ODI WC Winning team in 2003. Excellent slow bolwer. Terrific fielder.

    Voted for symonds .

+1. Very laborious and a typcial "workman" like Aussie labourer at the crease. The Border's & Bevan's are best to have in the team for crisis/fire fighting etc. but defy the good old school of thought that left handers come with natural flair/elegance.
Indhiya cinema = Kamal HaasaR, Indhiya cricket = Sachin TendulkaR.

All gentlemen having grouse against Bevan's scoring rate, please to check this . One of the best ODI knocks IMHO.

This was not an official ODI match. But featured some of the best talend from Asia against Rest of World. Chasing 320 for victory, Waeld XI were reduced to 196/7 after 37 overs. 13 overs, 125 runs needed and only 3 wickets left. That too against a bowling attack comprising of Akram, Vaas, Kumble, Murali & Razzaq. Bevan showed his masterclass in hitting boundaries and picking gaps and kept his team in the hunt. When the last over started they needed 21 runs. Razzaq bowled it and Bevan made 19 runs of it and struck 4 fours, 1 two and 1 single(Caddick runout) in the process. The only reason this match was not tied was because of Caddick not grounding his bat at the non-striker's end while coming back for a two.

Bevan scored 185 runs off 132 balls with 5 sixes that day. What a match and what a knock by Bevan .

As it is several days since the poll, is it time to lock it?
    Say, by tomorrow end?
Let's finish this by Sunday and start the next one by Monday

chase panni match win pannadhukkapuram scoring ratela enna prachanai...

    Bevan is my choice to..

tough to get him out - tail enders can feel safe when he is around - opposition can't relax when he is around - he never shows that he takes team to the victory, but all of a sudden reqd run rate will be under control - occasional china men bowler, can get a couple of wickets when given a chance
