Ilaiyaraaja to score music for Drishyam remake?
There
has been no confirmation yet but there are reports that the composer
will score the music in the Tamil version of the Malayalam hit Drishyam. The original starred Mohanlal and Meena in the lead, and was a huge success at the Box Office.

The Tamil version will have Kamal Haasan playing the lead and Simran
is likely to play his wife. Now, we hear that music maestro
Ilaiayaraaja will be scoring the music for the film. This is just a news
that's floating around and there has been no official reports yet.

அவர்களில் ஏற்கனவே நடித்த மீனா மட்டுமின்றி நதியா, சிம்ரன் போன்ற நடிகைகளும் இப்போது அப்படத்தை கைப்பற்ற பலத்த முயற்சி எடுத்து வருகின்றனர். உத்தம வில்லனை முடித்து விட்டுத்தானே அந்த படத்தில் கமல் நடிப்பார் என்று முயற்சியை தள்ளிப்போட்டால் வேறு நடிகைகள் வாய்ப்பை கொத்திச்சென்று விடுவார்கள் என்பதால், மேற்படி நடிகைகள் 3 பேருமே தங்கள் பெயரை படப்பட்டியலில் சேர்த்து விட வேண்டும் என்று முட்டி மோதிக்கொண்டு அலைகிறார்கள்.

Read that even Gouthami has expressed interest to do the Drishyam role ... remain to be seen who's it going to be. Agree, Amala-Kamal pairing was fantastic. Valai-Oosai comes to mind immediately!

Simran says she is not a part of Drishyam

Drishyam, the Malayalam film directed by Jeetu Joseph has created waves across the film industries which has resulted in the remake of the film in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada. While the Telugu film is being directed by Sripriya, Tamil version will be helmed by Jeetu Joseph himself.

For the character of Meena in the original version, many heroines were considered and it was said that Simran will be reprising Meena’s role in Tamil version. However the Pammal K Sambandham heroine has come out in the open and denied her involvement in the film.

She states, "I'm not doing any role in any language in any remake of Drishyam, I shall reveal my professional plans to the media at the appropriate time".

Now that the actress has denied her presence in the film, it looks to be seen who will do Meena’s role in the remake. Drishyam Tamil remake will have Kamal Haasan doing Mohanlal’s role.
