கர்ணன் திரைப்படத்தை டிஜிட்டல் முறையில் நவீனப்படுத்தும் முயற்சிக்கு பூஜை ஒரு அமாவாசையன்று போடப்பட்டது. படத்தின் ட்ரைலர் வெளியிடப்பட்டதும் ஒரு அமாவாசையன்றுதான். கர்ணன் 125-வது நாளை கொண்டாடும் இன்றைய தினமும் [ஜூலை 18] அமாவாசைதான். அதுவும் ஆடி அமாவாசை. அனைத்து மாதங்களிலும் அமாவாசை வருமென்றாலும் ஆடி மற்றும் தை அமாவாசைக்கு தனி சிறப்பு உண்டு. பெரும்பாலானோர் தங்கள் குல மூதாதையர்களை வணங்கி பூஜை செய்யும் நாள் இது. இந்த நாளில் தமிழ் திரையுலகின் முதல்வனான நடிகர் திலகத்தை போற்றுவோம். இதையும் தாண்டிய வெற்றியை கர்ணனும் தொடர்ந்து வரும் காலங்களில் வெளியாகும் நடிகர் திலகத்தின் படங்களும் பெற வேண்டும் என்ற வரம் வேண்டுவோம்.

நடிகர் திலகத்தின் படங்கள் திரையிடப்படாமல் இருந்த கால கட்டங்களில் படங்கள் வெளியானால் வரவேற்பு எப்படி இருக்கும் என்ற கேள்வி எழுந்த போது நிச்சயமாக நல்ல வரவேற்பு இருக்கும் என்று உறுதிப்பட நம்பியவன் நான். 2010 மார்ச் மாதம் மகாலட்சுமி திரையரங்கில் தொடங்கிய சிவாஜி வாரம் முதல் இப்போதுவரை என் நம்பிக்கை பொய்க்கவில்லை. கர்ணனுக்கு பிறகு வெளியான ஊட்டி வரை உறவு பிறகு மகாலட்சுமியில் சென்ற மாதம் நடைபெற்ற சிவாஜி வாரம் அதன் பின் திரிசூலம், சொர்க்கம் என்று அனைத்து வெளியீடுகளுமே விநியோகஸ்தர்களுக்கு லாபம் ஈட்டிக் கொடுத்திருக்கின்றன. அதன் தொடர்ச்சியாக இப்போது மகாலட்சுமியில் ஓடிக் கொண்டிருக்கும் என்னைப் போல் ஓருவன் திரைப்படமும் பெரிய வரவேற்ப்பை பெற்றிருக்கின்றது. இன்னும் பல படங்கள் இதை தொடர்ந்து வர இருக்கின்றன என்ற இனிப்பான செய்தியும் வந்திருக்கிறது. இந்நிலை தொடரட்டும்.

As far as my understanding, the Malayalam film world including stalwarts like, Nedumudi Venu, Thilagan, Mohan Lal and Mamooty have a great respect for NT and they had showed that in organizing a Big show in appreciation of our NT getting "Chevalier' award from France. Mohan Lal has publicly announced that much of his acting has been influenced by our NT and he is grateful to him forever. Nedumudi Venu has acknowleged that " No one can do the change of feelings shown on the face within seconds like our NT has done".

They had given due respect to our NT than any of the counterparts in Tamil Nadu, I feel.

ANM well said. outsiders like ANR, NTR and Rajkumar had shown how much they respect NT and praised him on several occasions than our own film people. that's the irony. There are few who praise NT fakely.. just to maintain their image cheap..

dear rajesh. NT's glory stands tall above what the contemporaries of him and the legends of other States have praised him. It is a curse for Tamils that the local talents are not properly recognized and we are used to get the illusions of distant greens for praise and promotions. But who have had the last laugh? NT has emerged like a Phoenix from ashes and proved his legacy for the generations to come while it has been proved for others defying NT as all that glitters is not gold and their fading films are meeting their ultimate destinations

A quick look back on Karnan Re release:

I saw the film 6 times after its digitalisation. Stupendous and successful effort( though half an hour film viewing in strainful to the eyes due to vertical shakings, unfortunately escaped the eyes of the reformatting team). Otherwise Superb classical movie giving 3 hours nice entertainmen dressings, make ups, clearcut &fiery dialogues, meaningful lyrics, graceful dances, tasty music, majesty. This is a cult classic in all senses performance wise and also on the technical front. Hard to believe that such a movie was made in 1964 with limited resources. Let current directors watch this and learn how to make a good movie. Even current crop of actors have a lot to learn from this. Sure, Sivaji's and NTR performance stands tall. But, there was good team work within the entire cast.
Thanks to the entire team for giving such an everlasting entertainment along with history. Though sri Sivaji Ganesan clicks the first prize, others have also done very well.
