Forbes India have come out with their yearly list of theTop 100 celebrities in India based on earnings and fame for the year 2014.Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, M.S.Dhoni and Akshay Kumar occupy the first 5 spots.
From the Tamil film world,Vijay, Rajini, Ajith and Dhanush occupy the 41st, 45th, 51st and 78th spots respectively. Among the other prominent South Indian film personalities,A.R.Rahmanis at 13,Mahesh Babu is at 30 and A.R.Murugadoss is at 39.
The list is predominantly packed with Bollywood film personalities and Indian cricketers.

Vijay overtakes Ajith by 10!

So, it's that time of the year again. The Forbes India's Top 100 Celebrities list release time. The verdict is out and the celebrities have been ranked on their earnings and popularity in the year 2014. Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Sharukh Khan, MS Dhoni and Akshay Kumar top the list in that order. Bollywood usually does pay more than Kollywood so it is no shock to see them up there.

Now, let's come to Kollywood. Vijay takes the 41st ranking, while Rajni, Ajith and Dhanush rank in 45th, 51st and 78th positions respectively. Quite a feat, eh? Vijay fans must be sky high in joy hearing that their Ilayathalapathy overtook Thala in the ranking of Forbes India. AR Rahman stands at number 13 while Mahesh Babu is 30th and AR Murugadoss is at 39. Not a bad show for Kollywood at all.

ஆஸ்கார் நாயகன் ஏ.ஆர்.ரஹ்மான் 13வது இடத்தையும், இயக்குனர் ஏ.ஆர்.முருகதாஸ் 39வது இடத்தையும், பிரபுதேவா 88வது இடத்திலும் உள்ளனர். இந்த பட்டியலில் முதல் இடத்தை பாலிவுட் நடிகர் சல்மான்கான் பெற்றுள்ளார். என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது

Vijay had Jilla and Kaththi release, and Rajnis Linga not released yet when they made the list and Ajith just had only Veeram release, of course Vijay would be in front. But the best part is A R Rahman being on 13th spot, instead people argue about everything else. This year A R Rahman had like 8 movie album released, it never happened before.
