A Thalaivaa Special for College Students
Aug 04, 2013
With the Thalaivaa buzz apparently on the rise with every passing hour, one of the theaters in Coimbatore has come up with a unique plan to cater to college students across the city and surrounding areas.
On Saturday, the 10th of August, the 12 45 pm show at the Central Cinemas, Coimbatore has been dedicated exclusively to college students. All they need to do is show a photocopy of their ID card as proof at the counter, pay the ticket money and get in for the show. It must be noted that this is not a free show but just a special show for Ilayathalapathy's fans who happen to be college students.
Both the screens in Central Cinemas will be showing Thalaivaa and already 60 percent of the opening weekend's tickets had been sold out on Friday itself, according to the theater manager. They had opened the advance booking a week prior to the release, as the demand was great.
Tickets for the Saturday special for college students will be directly disbursed at the counters, it must be noted.

Eid Clash of the titans!
This Eid will see the biggest ever clash in Indian commercial cinema. It is the clash of the titans as three biggies, Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s Thalaivaa, Pawan Kalyan’sAttharintiki Dharedhi and Shah Rukh Khan’s Chennai Express are releasing worldwide on August 9.The buzz is that Chennai Express will be carpet bombing cinemas releasing in 3500 to 4000 screens across the world. Thalaivaa and Attharintiki are going to release in 1200 to 1500 screens realistically. All the three films have been certified as U by the Indian censors. In south India Hindi movies have traditionally taken a back seat, and there is no doubt that Thalaivaa will hog the screens in Tamil Nadu and Kerala on 9 August, as willAttarintiki Daredi in Andhra Pradesh. The showcasing in multiplexes will be for the Vijay film in Tamil Nadu while Pawan Kalyan will dominate AP and SRK will lord over others in rest of the world
