Vishwaroopam just misses the Oscar train
IndiaGlitz [Tuesday, September 24, 2013]
Kamal's movies are all Oscar material and they always get nominated themselves in India's race for Oscar. And this year: Om Prakash Mehra's Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Ritesh Batra's The Lunch Box and Gyan Correa's Gujarati film 'The Good Road" and Kamal's Vishwaroopam featured in the list of nominees for the year.
However the Gujarati film had the last laugh and was chosen by the panel to be the official entry from India to the Oscars. The
movie features Sonali Kulkarni, Keval in the cast and was directed by Gyan Correa. The talk was that, Vishwaroopam just missed the Oscar entry by a few votes.
Well let's hope Vishwaroopam sequel too will feature enough recognition as its first part for we know Kamal loses no hair in giving the best.

Sorry to disagree. His face does show age. (compare with Mammootty for example who is 3 years elder)
But what amuses me is his physical fitness. No one at this age can near him !!
Best of luck - dear Tamil Film Industry ! ! !

Lets put it this way - Does he look his age ? No. Atleast 10 yrs. younger. He can easily pass off as someone in the 40s range. When it comes to fitness, he seems to go back and forth. These days he looks very trim and fit .. but there have been times when he was a little on the plumier side. Agree, Mamooty looks quite young.

Mommooty has someow managed to look the same for the past 25+ years. Just have a look at his pre 90s movies. There isn't much of a difference from the way he looks today. But that's rarely the case with Kamal. The rigorous prosthetics , the beefed up appearances in Aalavandhan, VV have all taken a toll on his overall appearance. There was also talk about how the prosthetics used in Dasavathaaram affected his hair. So no wonder he started balding after that. Another guy who rarely seems to age is Nagarjuna. He can probably dub off as Naga Chaitanya's brother in one of his movies for he looks that young.
