as a Thala fan it will be very difficult for me to observe these minute details at the very first instance and will have to watch the movie again (might be multiple times ) to see them and grasp frame by frame.

I am most happy to see the perspective from a neutral or other actor fan.

if am correct, tis scene (the above still) should be after Thala nd tammu finished 'Agal vilakku' lighting..

Option 1 : Siva may have wished to sweep all up with 1 scene (statue seperation scene) that assures Vinayagam that Koopu will be a right choice. The round-the-table passam would have been going over-board.

Option 2 : Kasi would have spilt his coffee over the negative

Option 3 : Thala, height sir, white sir but tight sir => Just doesn't add up to the sentiment during Karthigai Deepam.
