Quality not upto Hollywood standards? yeah I agree. But you think this is going to be a colossal flop? I doubt it. The opening will be tremendous and that will guarantee minimum collections. National media will ensure that Kochadaiyaan updates are given as much importance as election results.

Movie could be another Kuselan or another hit. Sustainability in the long run (overseas wise given the presentation) is the big question mark. Yes the technical standards are what worries me. Even with a good story/screenplay/content, you still have to sit through the "ventriloquism" of the actors being fictionalized as people living in period times. That "Rajni"'s hand goes through the sword in the trailer (approx. 2:20-ish) shows the poor quality in the post production. Only KSR's screenplay can save this movie. If what we saw in the trailer was the final output....

I think most fans are looking forward to his next, "Lingaa" then see a 125C experiment, but will for the sake of Rajni.

An animated movie nonetheless, they should have avoided all those blood-shed fighting scenes to encourage family audience. muthalvan..whats so surprising in that? the content matters whether animated or not. even if savita bhabi is made into animated movie (i hope not), that will be released under A certificate for sure.

    Unmai Vilambi....

I mean, when they were trying to bring something to Tamil Audience (in the sense of Tamil movies), they should have avoided such contents.
Rajni movies are usually well received by family audience. This genre might gain some benefits if it manage to get a U.

It depends on the countries. For exemple, in China you have only 3 certificates. The 3rd one is very strict one, where no minor should be allowed. If found, the theatre authorities as well as the parents are going to jail, for sure. Similarly, there are countries who are quite pricky about the violence shown to children. For that, even Religious Contents are certified as Strict. The lastest, Noah, was banned in many countries, simply because, their relegion is something else than the one depicted in the film.

Our certification comes a bit closer to European ones. America has its own indicators, but for exemple, sometimes you start to wonder if Bambi is certified with rating R just because its mother gets killed in the end (oppss ... spoiler split). If you look at it, such movies will not be American productions, that summerises a bit. So there are so many aspects involving when it comes to screening a film in a foreign land. The current trend is that, if the film is banned in the home state, certain countries don't permit them either, even its has obtained universal certification from the respective bureau. Ex : Vishwaroopam & Enam were staled because of the internal commotions, and till date have not seen the light in few countries.
