Haven’t signed any Telugu film yet: Kamal Haasan

“If I confirm a Telugu film, it will be produced on my Rajkamal International banner”

Actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan has admitted that he’s in talks with a few Telugu directors to do a film, but says he hasn’t signed a film yet in the language.

He also says if a Telugu film happens, his home banner will produce it.

“There’s no truth in the recent statements stating that I have accepted to do a Telugu film. I am discussing a few things with Telugu film directors but I have not signed anything. If I confirm a Telugu film, it will be produced on my Rajkamal International banner,” Mr. Haasan said in a statement.

There were recent reports that Mr. Haasan had confirmed a project with Telugu filmmaker Dharma Teja.

Presently, Mr. Haasan is busy wrapping up his Tamil film “Uttama Villain” and will soon start working on Tamil remake of Malayalam blockbuster “Drishyam”.

Virumaandi's connection in 'Uthama Villain'

When it comes to acknowleding talent and extracting the best from a person, Kamalhassan would stand tall. His eye for getting the best from his cast and crew makes a decent cut in the quality of his product.

Abhirami who played a memorable 'Annalakshmi' in Virumaandi has lent her voice for, Pooja Kumar in, 'Vishwaroopam 2'. Kamal wanted to carry the same form for 'Uthama Villain' too. One could see the same happens with, Ghibran, who is composing for three movies back to back for, Kamal.

Meantime, both 'Uthama Villain' and 'Viswaroopam 2' are progressing in breakneck speed and 'Uthama Villain' will hits the screen first.
