Dear Murali oru naal munnadi ezuthi irukkalaam..anyway good writeup..

But one thing that made her as a permanent favourite was the one and only வசந்த மாளிகை.

A film that is close to the heart of every Sivaji fan gave her that position.

For me the best Sivaji film.. I can watch it any number of times.. In college it was rereleased.. I went to Morning show alone.. and went to evening show taking more friends and all of them watched night show..

The main plus point is the way Vanishree played that self respecting (to the point of being egoistic) girl Latha made it great.

Yes.. self respect is clearly illustrated the scenes how Nagesh insults her and the scenes follows when she resigns and when even Sivaji asks her " ஏன் இப்படி செஞ்ச?" her reactions are awesome..

the climax dialogues " தன்னையே அறியாவளுக்கு சுயகவுரவம் எதுக்கு? அது எப்படி இருக்க முடியும்.. எல்லாமே இப்பதானே புரியுது" will show that she was egoistic too.

As long as NT and Vasantha Maligai are talked about, Vanishree would remain a favourite.

anybody who acted in that movie Vasantha maalikai would have become NT fan's favourite.. but nobody could have done it better than VS

Same like that, if Murali sir wrote his verygood points about Devika in the first page itself, definitely Padmini will not get this much lead.

இது வெறும் மாயை. நீலவானத்தில் இதையெல்லாம் தூக்கி சாப்பிடும் அளவுக்கு சூப்பர் பெர்ஃபாமென்ஸ்கள் இருக்கு. நடிகர்திலகத்துடன் யார் நடித்தாலும் அவர்களுக்கு நடிப்பு வந்துவிடும். ஏன் எங்கிருந்தோ வந்தாளில் ஜெயலலிதா செய்யாததையா, வசந்தமாளிகையில் இவர் செய்து விட்டார்?.

முரளி சார் சொன்ன அந்த பாவமன்னிப்பு காட்சி ஒன்று போதும். பின்னணியில் சுசீலாவும், எம்.எஸ்.வி.யும் ஸ்லோமோஷனில் 'பாலிருக்கும் பழமிருக்கும்' பாட, ரகீம் கைகளில் மேரி முகம் புதைத்து கண்ணீர் விடும் காட்சியை எந்த வசனத்திலும் சொல்லி விட முடியாது.

Yes, DEVIKA always the best.

Yes, the real Heroine in Gaurawam is none other than Pandaribhai. What a terrific performance. Who can forget that "kaNNa engEdA pOrE?".

Usha Nandhini is just a pickle in that movie. Strictly speaking her roll is not even important in story, comparing to Ramaprabha and Jaikumari.

ok, now I got the name of the Gauravam heroine for younger Shivaji Both me and wife were wondering who is this lady (though I've listened to the dialogs of this movie on gramaphone 100's of times, the first time I watched the movie was only a few months back).
