nope padikkathavan is much bigger than velaikkaran. padikkathavan is blockbuster in fact.

There's also a scene in Chandramukhi where he has to leave to see his patient (right before the interval).
The moment he sees Nayanthara, he would go to her and say something like, "unge kitte konje over-a nadanthukitten" (laughs) "athelam maranturungge" (referring to the disturbance he gave) then he brings down his shades..."enna maranturadingge.."

After all these years, he still has not lost that touch, I must say! Rajini definitely has a natural flair when it comes to romantic scenes.

It was a laugh riot, I loved the film, SS was hilarious in the movie, esp the English dialogues
