Actually, madras sabha nadagamana gol maal-ku Mirchi Siva is quite poruthtam. Rajini just happened to act in it but it isnt really a "ajini classic". Heck, indha point originalA Equa sonnadhu. nAna pudhusA oNnum sollidalai.

Badri Nadri all will demolish adhu vERa vishayam. But Mirchi feller is quite apt for this role.

We ppl must feel happy for not having Ram Gopal Varma in our industry. This guy remade his own 1989 hit Shiva, in 2005(The new Shiva was produced by him and directed by his asst). Bomb. Dissatisfied with the results, he re-re-made the movie in 2006 with the same hero and heroine and named it 'James', this time directing it himself. Bomb again. Idhepdi Irukku?

At the minimum, I'm really happy that the 'meeNdum thillumullu' team had chosen to credit MSV (and possibly also monetarily compensate him). He was possibly paid peanuts when he did the originals and anything that he gets out of this new project is some kind of royalty.

Which is much better than either using his melodies as their own or remixing them with no acknowledgement / compensation.

Nadagathanam ellaam irundhich, aanaalum TM kandippa classic dhaan-ga Much better than RK's other comedies - Thambikku Endha Ooru, Guru Sishyan or Veera. Simla Special is what I would call a boring stage drama (even those non-stage scenes)

But Mirchi feller is quite apt for this role.

I Agree. Cant think of anyone else. Its Thengai's replacement that worries me. Guesss the producers have gone for a safe bet. RK's role in TM not only had to exhibit his style & comic timing. He was quite good in expressing his helplessness,aal-maaraattam tension, humbleness as the meek Chandran. Idhellaam Mirchi Siva'ku suthama varaadhu.

+1. And the director also. I am really looking forward for this film only for siva.Sathyaraj can be a good option for thengai role.

RGV made Shiva thrice. First in Telugu, then in Hindi next year and then remade it in 2005. He directed all the three versions. I don't think James is a remake of Shiva.
