In the year X, director A and director B made movies both audio cassettes, movies were released around the same time. A's movie became a commercial success, but B's movie wasn't though it did garner critical reception. 4 years later similar thing happened, this time however the fortunes were reversed (B's movie was a commercial succcess and A's movie wasn't much but was critically received).
