Vikram had an excellent pre release hype... I still remember seeing stills of whole movie as album before the release...I got a chance to watch the movie few months back...Somehow the movie was good in first 1 hr after that it was heading no where....However, the songs are rage those days even today....IR's one of the excellent commercial album.....

Indian commercial cinema's first proper rap song "vikram vikram" - the S Janaki chorus with wah-wah pedal guitar effects in the interludes are badass and unmatched even now - IR's zenith of creativity - we ached for stereo systems and spent sneaky hours during weekends in audio shops only for the bass effect IR pioneered in every track of his including pathos songs like 'kanmaniye pesu' (kaakki sattai)!
