Vaidyanathan,
I have also read Randor Guy's article about MKTB and the Lakshmikanthan murder case. It kindled my curiosity and my father (who is no more) a fan of MKTB used to tell me about that infamous trial. My father lived in Purasawalkam (Doveton) area where that notorious rowdy "Arya Veerasenan" who murdered Lakshmikanthan (at the behest of MKTB and NSK) also lived at that time.
More detailed information about the murder case was given by "Aranthai Narayanan" in Dinamani Kathir in early 80s when he used to write about early days of Tamil Cinema.
I also have the Golden greats of MKTB CD. "Bhoomiyil maanida" was my favorite for a long time. My current favorite is "Dheena karunakarane". Still I cannot believe that people couldn't recognize him when he was not in the limelight. We Tamils have a history of not recognizing one's talent when they are alive but singing praises after they die. Bharathiyar is another example. After reading Manisekaran's articles, I have become ardent fan of MKTB and want to get hold of his authoritative biography desparately. Does such a thing exist?
