Our holiday specials begin today. There will be four songs this week and four songs next week from six different films.

"Nandri" starred Karthik, Nalini, Arjun and Mahalakshmi(aka Sri). The film directed by Rama.Narayanan was produced by AVM.Rajan to promote his beautiful daughter Mahalakshmi who wasn't getting very many offers in Tamil films. This is debut film for "Action King" Arjun. In his opening scene he shows off his martial arts skills and his perfectly sculpted body. Twenty four years later he is still a beefcake. Got to admire the discipline it takes to maintain a physique like that. The film launched a successful career for Arjun but not so much for Mahalakshmi.

Shankar-Ganesh give us this beautiful light classical in the lovely voices of Vani Jairam and Jayachandran.
