Ivalo nala ivaroda talent-A underestimate pannindu irundhomE-nu oru kavalai. So Polimer's "Sivaji oru sagaptham' special is one step closer to washing my sins and ignorance. Jallikattu (Admittedly not a significant film by any means!) - the scene after NT is shot by Radha, he wakes up to find SR by his side. The ensuing conversation(s back and forth) is ended with NT-SR exchanging their new-found understanding, with both breaking down. NT moves you to tears - not just by the plot/narrative but how he renders each syllable with his facial gestures - and most importantly, how his "face" tells its own narrative (like a legendary "silent film" star-actor) and asks for our emotional investment! There are some actors who "react" thro gestures, accentuating emotion like a needlepoint as well as exude charisma in minimalist sense, then there are actors like a proverbial jellyfish, imbibing everything to fully immerse the character (get inside the flesh so to speak), just consistently "be". NT was both!
Indha imayatha verum varthaiyAl varnikka mudiyathu.
