RGV made Shiva thrice. First in Telugu, then in Hindi next year and then remade it in 2005. He directed all the three versions. I don't think James is a remake of Shiva.

Thanks. I thought the Hindi Shiva was just a dubbed version. Even the actors (other than Paresh Rawal) are same right?

And, yes. James was a remake of Shiva(1989) and Shiva(2006) was a remake of James. RGV was not satisfied with the first remake and made another.

James (2005): RGV should probably not remake (read make) any film. Remake of Shiva (1989), the film starring Mohit Ahlawat and Nisha Kothari was a mega disappointment.
