The folk melody, OTOH, in so endearing and enjoyable inspite of the paridhAba singing. Lovely!
I've noted another interesting thing with this song - the terrific second interlude :WOW:
It didn't take me even a second to identify how this had been borrowed by the 'thEnmAvin kombaththu' MDs (who've already plagiarized 'Asai adhikam vachchu' song of maRupadiyum). The most fav song from that album is 'karuththa peNNE' and it has portion of this second interlude used ditto
One reason for me to like that song was the "IR feel" it has...now I know there's more than just influence
