Toronto traffic is worst. Hopefully we won't be impacted by traffic.

If I recollect it correctly, Rahman's Jay Ho Orchestra too happened in NJ few years back began late but presentation and the total package scored high. Once the show started, not even a single minute went idle.. its like a programmed version of Orchestra.

Not sure why the orchestra took 2 hours to arrive when they were staying at the adjacent Renaissance hotel. It would not take even couple of minutes to walk from the Hotel to the Rogers center. They even had special entrance for the orchestra. I agree with the presentation. On top of it, Gopinath's question about the instruments were pathetic. Also, the seating for VIP ticket was a joke. Overall, I liked the music. But, they need to work on the presentation...

Imo..

Well the crowd was not co-operating as well... In spite of repeatedly telling not to whistle, some arrogant idixxxx kept doing that which really made him irritated

Yes.. that was really annoying.. Sitting at the Floor level (VIP), the Sub was overpowering and every now and then, there was a microphone feedback which ruined the enjoyment. Raaja being perfect, I am hoping that we would look into these little things so that the concert will be much more enjoyable.

I think who ever had the opportunity to attend the Live Show at Chennai in 2011, should cherish those memories as forever, I don't think there will be another show similar to that to happen again, I am not optimistic for NJ or San Jose shows after watching EE Maestro Live at Toronto. Personally it was not at all up to the mark if not a big let down.
Chennai: Lots of Plus....
-Prakash Raj ( with no much knowledge in music, no experience as an anchor/stage host) was just outstanding.
-Hungary Orchestra/musicians.
- More songs and definitely some of the best....with lots of tidbits on the songs
- Schubert's unfinished Symphony and the Idhayam Pogudhe ....transition.......worth a life time
- More Singers (KJJ, BMK, and I think Haricharan also)
Toronto: Lots of Negatives ( most of them highlighted by others already)
If not Plus....atleast worth mentioning....
- Tham thana Tham Thana thaalam varum ...song with totally new orchestration.....was good... especially the rendition by Chitra and Sadhana Sargam.
- Maya Bazaar.....( less known experimental song to many...with only Vocals and Vocal harmony as BGM (Not sure if I should say BGM....The song with out any musical instrumental orchestration.....Naan Porandhu vandhadhu raja vamsuthile....song) was good...a few already knew with youtube videos of the rehearsals of this song...
- As mentioned Madhu BK was just fantastic in both his songs
- Hariharan was good in all, except his Rasathi Unnai song...lyric...he messed it up ( which was minor..)
- The Dheerga Voice......SPB......as always awesome.....Awesome....Awesome....Madai Thirandhu was just fantastic.....
My share of rant....
- Poor choice of songs (except a few)....this was the major issue for me....many repetitions from previous concert ( which is OK...but at least few more gems would have offset the over all poor execution.
- Delayed start ....inexcusable.... no apologies either ...except for Vivek's comments.
- Missing singers that were originally advertised and expected to part of the concert ( Vijay Jesu, Haricharan, Mano, Bella Shindhe Manjari)
- Anchors didn't do a good job at all.....in fact many places they were pathetic....poor coordination....lots of misses on announcements, Parthiban and Vivek both made some irrelevant remarks...totally unwarranted and annoying at times.
- Will never forgive Karthik (IR's off late Chella Singer) for his glaring miss on En Iniya Pon Nilave......I am surprised IR let him go....wish they played the BGM again and made him sing again.
- Gopinath...was another pain in the.... ( he is talented guy as an anchor for other programs ...probably ) but it simply didn't jell well at all and his last attempt at the musicians was a joke and showed his complete ignorance....he could have been more professional ...complete nonsense.
IR....needs to be little flexible...( Indha vayasule innum enga relax aaga poraru.......) ...due to shortage of time...many times he was making Parthiban run around... and probably kept changing the sequence of songs. It appeared like Vivek was getting on his nerves at some point ....and was annoying for the over all experience...( On both of their parts.. IR.....as Vivek kept mentioning repeatedly....Strictu...Strictu....Strictu....did appear less relaxed and showing his so called strict...attitude.....Common Raja...).
I agree there was this local Toronto Tamil Rowdy crowd... even in the VIP section....making some irrelevant comments and of course some m*orons in the back were still whistling on and off....I can not understand Why the F*** ....those i*iots had to purchase tickets and come and make noise if they liked more contemporary musicians works.
I hope the NJ show would be atleast much better if not like Chennai's show....
It's also surprising that Karthik Raja who was working behind this....didn't pay more attention to the coordination and execution of the program for details and avoid jarring/inexcusable mistakes. I hope he gets some feedback from this event to address them well in next shows.

Only few artists stayed in renaissance. Most of orchestra stayed in far off place.
Gopinath, Prasanna, Sneha were total waste, but Gopinath was wasted because of the delay.
Same view. Music was good, but presentation was pathetic.

That is totally disgusting and inexcusable. Some kind of insecurity drives them to do such things I guess.
