THUPPAKKI THE 100 DAYS SUCCESS FORMULA


Thuppakki faced lot of problems with its title; finally the patience and persistence paved the way for the victory. Any film these days should promote their content and Thanu set an example for that. Yes the first trailer of Thuppakki was telecasted in Star Vijay Super Singer which garnered a record TRP. Though the audio launch was not held in a big auditorium, Thanu invited the entire press and launched the audio with its teaser; the entire media covered the launch and gave a huge publicity in social networking sites. On its audio launch the film was trended in Twitter.It is known that Thuppakki was the biggest blockbuster of 2012 and it is in all-time top four grossers of Kollywood. Till 2012 diwali, only two films had grossed 100 crores and they are Rajini's Endhiran and Sivaji. It was like a dream for the young generation actors to gross 100 crores and even to some senior actors other than Rajini, but it was Vijay and AR Murugadoss who broke the jinx.
After calculated promotions the film got a humongous opening and without proper content Thuppakki wouldn't have attained this success. The film got a perfect mix of mass and class, thanks to the scintillating script writer AR Murugadoss. When young generation heroes were trying to prove their hands in mass masala formula Vijay smartly adopted the classy realistic action approach.
Santhosh Sivan's crystal clear cinematography in real raw location of Mumbai was terrific and similarly Sreekar Prasad's crisp cuts, Harris Jeyaraj's peppy tunes also paved the way for Success. Though Thuppakki is not a cult classic but on the commercial front it opened a new gate for Tamil films.

It should have been HINDI to Tamil but accidently now TAMIL to HINDI..........Akshay was ARM's first choice........
