if you dont know then please do not talk about movies. MGR got the best actor award for the movies released in that year.

and your hero so called used all the best techncians in the world and its looklike a dubbing movie (english), and also he does not care about anyone feelings . MGR is the great man and always he thinks about all the people regardless of cast language etc

I would like to register a point here which i feel needs to be highlighted with regards to the tamil film music. I have been an ardent fan of tamil film music and listened to music made for many years in the industry. The music starting from the years 1950's to 1970's had the best melodic music which is incomparable. The musicians, the lyricists and the singers of this period are the best tamil film industry has seen till now. Each one of them are legends in their respective fields:

Music directors : MSV, TKR , KVM, GR, AM Rajah, Sudarsanam, etc.
Lyricists: Kannadasan, pattukottai Kalyanasundaram, Marudakasi, Vaali,...
Male Singers: TMS, PBS, Sirkazi Govindarajan, AM Rajah, KJ Jesudoss and SPB.
Female singers: P Susheela, Jikki, Leela, S Janake, LR Easwari.

Some of the best albums were created by these legends which are even now as popular as it was when they were released:

AAirathil Oruvan,
Padagoti,
Enga Veetu Pillai,
Periya Edathu Penn,
Anbe Vaa,
Ulagum suttrum Valiban,
Paasa malar,
Paava mannippu,
Karnan,
Nenjil oor aalayam,
Kadhalikka Neramillai,
Sumai Thangi,
Thaen Nilavu, etc.

Their are many albums of this period like the one listed above which even after 50 - 60 years are not forgettable. Be it "Thathuva padalgal" , sad songs, duet songs or emotional songs they had the best solutions. This talents were standing rock hard behind the heroes MGR, Sivaji, Gemini and many more.

I am no big fan of Kamal hassan and agree that he goes for the best technicians and technology of todays. But just wished to bring to the fore that "mass music" was at its prime when MGR was at his peak and these songs served MGR later in his political career too and stood steadfast along with him. For e.g, today Vijaykanth who is into politics is hampered badly as he does not have any mass music to talk about him.
