What about Sanjay Dutt in Agneepath 2012 ?
[I would say Karan (Malhotra) Johar cleverly Indianised Malakh as Kancha with demonic or whatever kind of tattos]

The irony is that the Jains in India identify themselves with the Hindus more than any other religion and they never accuse Hindus of being hostile to their religion....but the so called atheists who are hell bent in tarnishing the Hindu religion to mask the religious violence perpetrated by the Abrahamic religions, keep pulambifying "atrocities to Samanars!" "atrocities to Samanars!" with every possible opportunity.

Karthi, whether you believe it or not, there is a conscious effort to make the next generation to believe that Tamils were originally Jains and were converted to Hinduism only in the Christian era, which is anything but the truth. Jainism spread in Tamil Nadu as it was the state religion under the (non Tamilian) Kalabhras (2-6th century AD). The fact that Tamils were worshippers of Lord Murugan and the Mother Goddess (Amman) much much earlier than the Christian era has been carefully concealed by people with vested interests.

the past will always be blurry.. we need to discuss more about what needs to be done to improve our society rather than playing blame-games based on our half-baked knowledge of the past.. history is/was written by winners..
whatever may have happened, religion is a dangerous thing in our society .. it has more ill effects than positives .. we dont need religion .. athu thaan ennoda karuthu ..

even I was very surprised when one of my colleagues, a reasonably well read atheist/ periyarist who considers himself as Tamil/Dravidian but speaks Telugu at home and very fair skinned / long nosed, put forth an argument that Jains were the original inhabitants of Tamil Nadu and Hinduism came into Tamilnadu much later! ( Which is anything but the truth as Jainism itself wad not native to the Tamil land). I was even more surprised when one of the speakers in an evangelical Tamil TV channel was trying propagate that Hinduism is not as old as Christianity! (Considering the fact that these same people have successfully propogated the myth that Thomas, the apostle, arrived in India in First century BC and was killed by " Brahmins" near St Thomas mount......which, by default, acknowledges the presence of Brahmins and the Hindu religion in the pre- Jain era (first century AD ) Tamil Nadu) Basically the people with vested interest want the Hindus to lose the pride in their religion so that their jobs become easier...
