Ruskin Bond
A great number of books have been written by Ruskin Bond... still I feel that he has not been given place in Indo-English literature. However, we can start a talk on his works with a view to finding element of nature dominant in his works... poems, short stories, novella...

I agree with you. Ruskin had not the high profile of R.K.Narayan or such. He is highly underrated.
I love his books about Anglo India of the North. Being brought up in Madras, I could never imagine how the presence of the British would be outside of my environment.
He is indeed a great writer, still live and kicking....

Btw, did ne of u guys read Ruskin Bond's "Tiger in the tunnel"??
This was actually included as one of the lessons in our ICSE English textbook when I was at school (8th std.)......
The story was very moving towards the end but I feel the fun of reading it as a story was spoiled at the end when we had to write qs. & ans./excercises based on it!
