“Thalaivaa is not a political film as some miscreants claim”- Ilayathalapathy Vijay

There are reports coming up regarding theaters receiving threats from anti social groups against the release of Thalaivaa. Vijay in a press release has clarified that the film has nothing to do with politics. “It’s a complete family entertainer with all the necessary ingredients including romance, action and comedy. This is not a political film as some miscreants claim,” said Vijay.

He also points out that the film is not against any political group or individuals. The actor also requested the public not to fall for these rumours.

Meanwhile, the film is releasing on the 9th of August amidst huge expectations. Few theaters have blocked the bookings temporarily. The producers are now in the middle of a trade related meeting and are expected to sort out the issue by today evening.
