Rajini safely can retire from all his Cinema acting if he choose to collaborate Selva in a film. Selva can bring 100 times a special/untold one of Rajini compared to Shankar's (Enthiran).

Never argue with a fool or he will drag you down to his level and beat you at it through sheer experience!

Rajini, the actor working with the likes of a Selvaraghavan, Ameer, Bala for a film is a mouth savouring prospect. But I feel its a dream that's too far fetched. We do need our big stars to come down from their high horses, you know.

First place I merely said its an interesting interview . I repeat first let him provide a "MASSive hit with his unconventional, barriers balls breaking stories. And then Only then it would be appropriate for you jolly fellows to say he is better than another super egoistic (hollywood stealer) director.
I am not sure how rajini got in to this discussion, We (True fans) wanted him to retire after Shivaji. If he decides to give Spielberg Selva an opportunity its his bad luck and selva's lady luck will be kissing him big time.
The only issue I have is, when people educated like yourselves, who know Indian society needs much for than couple B-graded sex movies in name of adolescent love stories with high does of hormone spiking sex scenes or gangs of singar chennai. This is creative Art ? its troubling sign.
If this guys claims he is all for freedom of art, let him direct the First Indian movie about Gandhi. or a true historic subject without virgin tests and skeleton break dancing.

Wow!
Though it took me a while to decipher and understand your post, I now get the gist of it. Selvaraghavan has given more than one so called capitalized mass hits with nobody heroes which has made many big stars to queue up to act in his film. Every director is talented in his/her arena so let's not compare directors. Let's compare films.
Clearly we, here, know who we are talking about thus let's take two films Endhiran and Aayirathil Oruvan. Can anyone here say that AO couldn't have been a film better than Endhiran in a thousand ways if it had got the backing the latter did? I think it is already a far better film than Endhiran and comparing the two itself is merciless.
If you (and a bunch of others) wanted Rajini to retire after Sivaji then state it as an opinion of you and yours, don't frame it as if that is what the entire Rajini fan club wanted.
Spielberg Selva? Why are you pulling in two directors who have nothing in common with. Assuming you know about cricket, it is like saying Venkatesh Prasad-Garfield Sobers. (Please don't ask who is Prasad and who is Sobers in our case).
If you think Thulluvatho Ilamai, Kadhal Konden and 7G were B-Grade films which became hits because of the sensual scenes, then it says nothing low about those films but just shows what you saw in the films.
I dint get the last sentence of your post. You want to direct film(s) about Gandhi? Whatever.
So yeah, Selvaraghavan is a good filmmaker and he has earned enough respect through his work to talk certain things however he pleases.

Yeah.
Just like how including 'Rajni's' name gives a big fill-up to a discussion and also widens the target audience, on the other side, some people use his name and call themselves his TRUE fan for a wider acceptance.
I don't see anything wrong in comparing Ayirathil Oruvan and Sivaji. I also don't understand, how TRUE Rajni fans have a problem in this. I cannot also stop wondering how someone can become 'Kanndavan' in a public forum.

if the idea was to expand views. kamal hassar would have been better choose to fill up drums. the only reason rajini is in this discussion its because of me.(shamelessly I accept he.is my weak link) hence adding him to mixture to take a some cheap shot at me was lame move thats all,not widening some road my.@$$.
example :these days even samantha's panties will have fan club and thread here, with great regrets I have call those english speaking strangers who will support anything and everything just for the heck of it so they are kaandavans because they are like seasonal specia dassall. not you keadyblue # lungikattu #seete poodu.
