I think Major Vijaykumar character was made to be that way to boost Nandhu. If you ask me, all dual role movies do that. I expressed the same feeling with Madhan in MMKR.

Madhan was not at all hero in MMKR, only Raju was, so Madhan can afford to be konjam dumb, but Major Vijaykumar is a hero pitted against a powerful villain Nandhu....so his scenes should have been equally power packed IMHO

சென்னை: விஸ்வரூபம் 2-ம் பாகத்தின் படப்பிடிப்பின் போது தாடையில் அடிபட்டுள்ளது. ஆனால் அந்த காயத்தோடு அவர் இளையராஜாவின் லண்டன் இசை நிகழ்ச்சி குறித்து ஒரு பேட்டி அளித்துள்ளார். அதில் "அது என்ன மாயமோ தெரியல.. இளையராஜா இசைன்னாலே காயம் கூட ஆறிடும்" என்று குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார். இசைஞானி இளையராஜா முதல் முறையாக லண்டனில் இசை நிகழ்ச்சி நடத்துகிறார். இதில் எஸ்பி பாலசுப்ரமணியம், ஜெயச்சந்திரன், சாதனா சர்க்கம் உள்பட முன்னணி இசைக் கலைஞர்கள் பங்கேற்கின்றனர்.

இந்த நிகழ்ச்சியில் இளையராஜாவின் தீவிர ரசிகரான கமல்ஹாஸனும் பங்கேற்கிறார். இந்த நிகழ்ச்சியில் தான் பங்கேற்பது குறித்து விஸ்வரூபம் 2 படப்பிடிப்பிலிருந்த கமல் அளித்துள்ள வீடியோ பேட்டியில், "விஸ்வரூபம்-2 கிட்டத்தட்ட 90% முடிந்துவிட்டது. இறுதிகட்ட வேலைகள் மும்முரமாக நடந்துகொண்டிருக்கின்றன. இருந்தாலும் இந்தப் பேட்டியைக் கொடுக்கிறேன். தாடையில் இருக்கும் இந்தக் காயம் கூட விஸ்வரூபத்தில் பட்டுக்கொண்டதுதான். ஆனால் அது அங்கே வரும்போது ஆறிடும். அது என்னவோ தெரியல.. என்ன மாயமோ தெரியல.. என்ன மேஜிக்கோ தெரியல... இளையராஜா இசைன்னாலே காயம் கூட தன்னால ஆறிடும் (குணா பாடல் பாணியில் பேசிக் காட்டினார்!). ஆகஸ்ட் 24.. ஓ2 லண்டன்... உங்களுடன் நானும்.. இளையராஜாவின் ரசிகனாக.. அங்கே அமர்ந்திருப்பேன். வணக்கம்", என்றார்.

கமலின் சட்டையை பிடித்து தேவர் இழுக்கும் காட்சி ... பிறகு தேவர் முன் கமல் மண்டியிட்டுக்கொள்ள இருவரும் பேசும் வசனங்கள், காட்சிகள்..... உணர்ச்சிகளை அற்புதமாக பிரதிபலிக்கும் நடிப்பு!! நடிப்பையும் மீறி தந்தை-மகன் உணர்வு இருந்ததால் தான் இந்த காட்சிகள் இவ்வளவு தத்ரூபமாக வந்திருக்கிறது என நினைக்கிறேன்.....கமல் எத்தனை படங்கள் நடித்தாலும் கமலின் சிறந்த படங்களில் இதற்கு தனி இடம் எப்போதும் ...

can easily relate the responsibility he has when he says "kandippa edhavadhu seiven yaa" to the scene where he replies gouthami - whom do you really love - "indha chinna thoovaloora"...

fabulous screenplay. There has been instances all through the movie that makes us feel that he belonged to the roots (thoovalur) and not to the urban restaurant chain such as proudly lifting the collar standing behind his dad, getting into the kambu fight, wishing to marry his girl in his ancestral temple...
