Was listening to "polls vinayen" from Thiruvasagam. What a composition! The other thing that I have marveled at is that that song had different chorus parts - one recorded in Chennai and one later in Budapest - orchestration separately in Budapest and voice in Madras and NY to be able to do all that separately and then mix it to produce such a masterpiece, he had to conceived all that in his brain upfront how all that would piece together and then break in to those sections and record it in various places - it is genius.

Mugilo megamo is a iR all time top 10 candidate. Chellam Chellam is rocking. Kalvane - amazing how he can come with suc tunes and great orchestrization - Jeevane is a soul stirrer - what violins ang guitar - great singing - enna vendum - interesting song. Great album again Raja

Why Yuvan for such great compositions?
From what I have heard from the teasers, his singing spoils the song!!! big time!

I think he has sung really well. I think he provides a contempory tone to the song and the fact that his voice is unconventional suits the songs. Ramya has done all the 3 songs really well.

The other ones are obvious crowd pullers given the teasers we have seen previously. But man, Kalvane is an absolute stunner! I didn't expect this at all from Raja and I'm blown away. The song structure, the jazz swing beat, the violins....this is as unconventional as Raja can get, yet sounding absolutely divine, trendy, modern etc. He has hit this one out of the park!! amazing!

at first listen "Jeevane" is a modern, very-refined rehash of "kaadhal un leelaiyaa" - maybe same raagam - but I could hear the latter Japanil Kalyanaraman tune in this song!
'puthham puthu' rehash did not impress me at all - the original bass line ambience is missing
thats so far

mugilo megamo.... aesthetic bgm with piano & cello with flute, yeah... Ramya is good but Yuvan is flat for me!
I connect with Ilayaraja's version emotionally!
Kalvane.... indeed incredible jazzy, rhythmic piano - strings Ilayaraja's beauty!
Mugilo megamo... Ilayaraja's version, I just closed my eyes, took a relaxed nap this afternoon! Soothing piano-violin interludes
