But what most of the reporters fail to understand and write is - The circumstance and year at which MT started the party and the situation and year in which NT started his party. There was no revolution with respect to starting a party for NT unlike MT.

Many youngsters always get to read a biased, mis-represented information on NT's political stint. Most of them think both MT & NT started at the same time their parties, both were rivals and NT failed in politics while MT succeeded. This is the assumptions many younger generation have. While reading the news like this as a common man who do not knew history, this is what they would conclude. THAT's WRONG !!!

Amateur writers just broadly write generic sentences. Yes, nothing to hide that NT's own party start was disaster BUT not his political Stint. NT's political stint inspite of his 20 hours per day busy schedule of his profession was a huge success which made the DMK to fear and cunningly they planned for his exit & Karmaveerar's invite to NT to join hands itself speaks volume about his political Stint.

Sivaji Ganesan was first of all NOT A POLITICIAN even from his hay days. He never held any position with either the earlier DMK (or) the Later CONGRESS unlike MGR who held prominent position immediately after he joined DMK from being a Congress Sympathizer in the earlier period which everyone knows.

Had Sivaji Ganesan been selfish and opportunistic post MGR's demise by joining hands with MK rather than joining Mrs.Janaki Ramachandran, things would have been entirely different today. It is the unfaithful devotees of both the sides failed to give the needed support to the legal heir and successor of MGR ie, Mrs. Janaki instead they preferred to be a life long slaves and were ready to go behind Glamour....! It is not a loss to NT ...may be he would have lost his quite a bit of money...It is a loss to the State of Tamilnadu.

Sivaji's Political Stint never failed, his political party was the one that failed. At the same time, in his film career, he was second to None !
His standard of performance was too...too...too...high for the Indian Cinema which only the International Film Community could identify due to which they recognized, Awarded and Rewarded ONLY NT till date.

It is quite true that the situation and circumstances did not favour Respectable Late Sivaji Ganesan at the time of his starting a new party TAMIZHAR MUNNETRA MUNNANI. But in my opinion, he could have continued his party with the support of his Fans and like-minded persons. It was regret to say that after his defeat, he dissolved the Party.

Moreover, he believed very much the Actors Major Sundararajan, V.K. Ramaswamy and Ms. Sowcar Janaki. Instead, he could have made the reliable persons, choosinhg from amongst his fans, to support him and the party and kept them in higher positions in the party.

As a voter of Tiruvottiyur Constituency, I had the opportunity of extending my fullest co-operation and support to Mr. K.V.P. Boominathan, when he contested on behalf of TMM Party, since my sincerity attahced to Ramapuram Garden and also being Ms. Janaki supporter. It is most unforunate to say that both Ms. Janaki Ammal and Sivaji Ganesan, the familiar personalities, have been defeated.

But, I do not agree with your statement of Respectable late Sivaji Ganesan, being Second to None in the Tamil Cine Field. Even now, our beloved God MGR starred Movies alone set records, on its re-release, without any interval, in every nook and corner of Tamil Nadu State, set Records in collection. The same situation happens in Karnataka State too.

As already pointed out by me in the Thread, M.G.R. is an unbeaten Ever Green Hero of Tamil Cine Field and he is the one beyond comparison.

He occupies 1st Place not only in the Tamil Cine Field but also in the history of Tamil Nadu Politics, still. This is the undisputable Fact and Truth. [/B]

விஜயகுமார்(கலைமதி கம்பைன்ஸ் ஆப்பரேட்டர்): கடந்த இரண்டு ஆண்டில் மதுரையில் மட்டும் 40 தியேட்டர்களில் "நாடோடி மன்னன்' படம் வெளியானது. நவீன தியேட்டர்களில் டி.டி.எஸ்., ஒலியுடன், கியூப் மற்றும் யூ.எப்.ஓ., தொழில்நுட்பத்திலும் வெளியிட்டோம். புதிய படங்களுக்கு குறைவில்லாத வரவேற்பு, இன்றும் எம்.ஜி.ஆர்., படத்திற்கு உள்ளது.

ஞானசேகரன் (ரிக்ஷா தொழிலாளி): எம்.ஜி.ஆர்., படம் பார்த்தால் உணவே தேவையில்லை. ஒரு நாளில் நான்கு "÷ஷா' பார்த்த படங்கள் நிறைய உள்ளன. அவரை நேரில் பார்க்க சென்னை கிளம்பினேன். அவர் வீட்டில் இல்லை. இரண்டு நாட்கள் ரோட்டில் தங்கி, மூன்றாவது நாளாக பார்த்தேன். திரையில் வருவதை விட அழகாக இருந்தார். "வாத்தியாரே...' என, கத்திய போது, நிமிர்ந்து பார்த்தவர், சிரித்த படி என்னை நோக்கி கையசைத்து சென்றார்.
ரிக்ஷாக்காரன் படத்தில் அவர் அணிந்த உடைகளை தான், இன்றும் அணிகிறேன்.

மாணிக்கம் (ரிக்ஷா தொழிலாளி): விபரம் தெரிந்த நாளில் இருந்து ரிக்ஷா ஓட்டுகிறேன். கடுமையாக கால் வலிக்கும் போது, ரிக்ஷாவில் ஒட்டியுள்ள எம்.ஜி.ஆர்., போட்டோக்களை பார்த்தால், தானாக தெம்பு வரும். இன்று, பண்டிகையில் தான் படங்கள் வெளியாகின்றன. அன்று, எம்.ஜி.ஆர்., படம் வெளியானாலே பண்டிகை தான். அரசியலுக்கு அப்பாற்பட்டு அவரை ரசித்தவர்கள் ஏராளம். இப்படி மனம் விட்டு பேசினர். இவர்களை போல இன்னும் எத்தனையோ ரசிகர்களிடம் எம்.ஜி.ஆர்., வாழ்கிறார். Nice to hear that. When speaking about the film AsaiMugam, I would like to tell you that, AsaiMugam was also apparently one of the MGR movies that I like. Especially, Ramadoss wearing mask of MGR and the duo having the fight at the climax and like how a jamesbond overcomes the villain, an acid is thrown on villain face and for a second, every first time viewer would be in a suspense as to which MGR gets affected...!

The same Knot was used partially in Aduththa Vaarisu where C.L.Anandan would wear the mask of Rajinikanth..and the duo will have a fight..!

Aasai Mugam is a good entertainer..No doubt about that !

You are right about 'Aasai Mugam'. It was a gross entertainer having MGR in dual roles but in a different manner. 'Kalangarai Vilakkam' and 'Nadodi' were also released within this time frame and we were confused as all had Saroja Devi in the lead. By the way, in all of MGR movies it will be rare if a lady artiste refers to him in less respectful prefix or suffix like 'avan', 'dey' 'poda' etc. Rarer still if a lady slaps him. Of course, female artistes who act as his mother are an exception to this rule. MGR was very careful with such demeaning dialogues as he socially felt responsible for promoting a respectful culture amongst his fans. But in 'Aasai Mugam' Saroja Devi confronts the villain MGR (supposed to he Ramadoss) and uses such a word. I remember a section of the spectators swearing at Saroja Devi in the theatre.

While on this subject, in Thaaiku Thalaimagan' MGR uses a deragatory word against Rajhshri in a fit of anger. It was unthinkable then that such a word was indeed used by MGR although Rajhshri appearing as vamp rightly deserved it. Still wondering as to how these sensitive words in the screen dialogues escaped MGR's attention in both Aasai Mugam and Thaaiku Thalaimagan.

Dear Professor,

Am not concerned (or) bothered about the success or failure of Mr.Sivaji Ganesan's political career but I was more concerned on the way in which it is projected till date by any media and therefore I mentioned in my reply because those new generation who read mayyam should not get misled by generic statements.

In terms of films, I wish to tell you that every person has his / her own belief. So, like your kindself, I too strongly believe based on the facts, figures and records that Mr.Sivaji Ganesan was second to none when it comes to his career in films despite few ups and downs which are common for any actor.

I am not bothered or concerned about the re-releases of his films till date. I am purely talking about the first time release of his films.
Am not in for a debate on this as it is needless since both the legends are not in this world but does exist in every fan's heart.
