Easily one of the worst films of Dhanush. After scaling new heights in his last few films, Dhanush comes back to earth with Naiyaandi. Sargunam credits the old Mallu comedy 'Melapparambil Aanveedu' but Naiyaandi is neither faithful to the original nor cleverly improvised. And Sarkunam, after impressive outings with Kalavani and VSV, disappoints big time.
I very rarely walk out of the hall in the middle of any film, no matter how bad the film is. This is only the second instance.
I learned long ago, never to wrestle with a pig. You get dirty, and besides, the pig likes it.

my first was parattai engira azhagu sundaram
feeling sad for danush... always happens when quantity is preferred over quality
Never argue with a fool or he will drag you down to his level and beat you at it through sheer experience!

Sargunam with his answers appears like a cat sitting on a hot plate. You wanna jump out of it, but unfortunately you land at it again and again and it continues to burn your sitting zone.
Even if this is a publicity stunt by the makers, if early reviews are any pointers, it appears, no amount of publicity can save this movie.

There is a good chance that this could be your Illusion.
Dhanush has earned his right to be hailed as a wonderful/versatile/gutsy actor.
No need to worry whether he is Good or Great or etc or etc. Greatness/Goodness is a subjective phenomenon.
To me, Dhanush stands super-tall among all his generation stars with his bold choice of scripts and natural acting.
