In Rajini's 100 yr. speech he says :
'cinemavilla thothu ponavanga vazhkailla jaichanga, cinemalla jaichavanga vazhkailla thothutanga'
chinna doubt - Was he actually referring to himself or someone else on the second part ?

He was talking about mushrooms who grow everyday thinking that they will be the next "Rajini or Kamal or Ajith". And yes he personally also lost a lot of things because of fame and fans.

Rajinikanth is the true superstar of India
It's not easy to track down Paresh Rawal as this veteran doesn't believe in tom-toming about his achievements and likes to let his work do all the talking. The actor was in the city for his play Dear Father, an emotional thriller.
......
......
The actor is all praise for Rajinikanth too. According to him, "He is the true superstar of India. Even in Chennai Express, Shah Rukh Khan had to take his support." That's saying a lot about the Superstar. The king of situational comedy has a very natural repertoire.
