Dwayne Bravo to groove for Tamil film song

West Indian cricketer, Dwayne Bravo, who is also a key member of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) T20 team and known for his impromptu dance moves and eye- catching style on field, is all set to groove to a song in an Indian film. He said this at an exclusive event hosted in Chennai over the weekend.

Bravo is to be featured in a yet-to-be composed promotional song for the Tamil drama film 'Ula'. "Away from home, Chennai makes me feel like I am home. So, I am really grateful to be chosen to be a part of this project. I am really looking forward to it, looking forward to meet new people, looking forward to dancing, and entertaining the people, and I know it's going to be a great success," said Bravo.

Known for his freestyle dancing, he said that just like him people of India also love to dance. "For me, sports and entertainment go hand in hand. I really enjoy the music aspect of life, I love the entertainment, and for me, it's a great opportunity, apart from cricket. I enjoy dancing, and here, in India, people love to enjoy themselves, love to dance, and it's a great chance for me to actually do something different," he added.

He further said that he has seen several possibilities in the field of entertainment, but is currently focussing on the sport.

Tamil film Ula features actors Vidharth, Ajmal Amir, Radhika Apte and Gayathrie in lead roles. The shooting for Bravo's promotional song is expected to begin in some weeks.

New Delhi: The Supreme Court-appointed committee probing the IPL spot-fixing scandal has called on people having any information on the allegations of betting against BCCI President N Srinivasan's son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan and other accused to share their inputs with the panel. The committee headed by former Punjab and Haryana High Court Chief Justice Mukul Mudgal and comprising Additional Solicitor General L. Nageshwar Rao and senior advocate Nilay Dutta, met for the first time on October 11 here. The committee, after "perusal" of the Supreme Court order, decided on its schedule of meetings. The panel, appointed in the first week of this month.

"The schedule of the sittings of the committee and its functioning and support personnel were finalised and communicated to the BCCI," said Vidushpat Singhania, the secretary to the committee, in a statement issued by the BCCI. The committee has urged anybody with information on the fixing allegations against Meiyappan and other accused to mail it to them. "The informants shall not be given hearing unless and until the committee thinks it fit to do so. The identity of the informant shall be kept confidential," the statement read. The Supreme Court has directed the committee to investigate the allegations of betting and spot-fixing in the IPL matches against Gurunath Meiyappan, allegedly the team principal of Chennai Superkings, the accused players and the team owner of IPL franchisee Rajasthan Royals. The court appointed the probe committee after the Cricket Association of Bihar filed a petition against the BCCI probe panel, which exonerated Meiyappan and team owners but handed varied bans to the cricketers. The cricketers who were banned included former Test pacer S Sreesanth. The two-member BCCI probe panel of Justice T. Jayarama Chouta and Justice R. Balasubramanian, former judges of the Madras High Court, gave a clean chit to Raj Kundra, co-owner of Rajasthan Royals in the IPL betting scandal.

Don't worry Srini mama and his cronies will make sure whatever is conducive for CSK will be adopted as "THE RULE". Would be interesting to see if Gayle plays for CSK and Mr. Thony plays for Mumbai Indians. And Watson plays for RCB.

why are you so stressed out about IPL and CSK? That was a simple question!...hmm....whatever keep the thread rolling..

P.S (not targeted at you Dilbert): On the hindsight, I am proud that a Chennai guy heads the most powerful sport body of India, which was traditionally mumbai-dominated and in spite of all the pressure from different sides got back into the leadership position. Winning a power politics at such high level is even more prestigious than the game of cricket. I don't mind the ethical angle at all, as the court has allowed him.
