World Chess Championship 2013
Yes... Viswanathan Anand of India is playing against Magnus Carlsen of Norway - Carlsen is regarded as the favourite....
I'm supporting Anand...
Today (16 November 2013) - Game 6, Anand is 2 points down...
At the post-game press conference he did not appear to be in a very good mood...
Hope he picks up! He can do it...
He needs to keep a calm head... Come on Anand!!!

Carslen looked very confident in the press photo (with a glum Anand sitting beside him). Maybe that's an opening for Anand; Carslen relaxes too early in the war and concedes some matches in the process.

In his previous matches, against Veselin Topalov in 2010 and Boris Gelfand in 2012, after losing a game each time, he came back from behind eventually to win the match... especially against Gelfand the game went to a tie-break situation, and Anand held his nerve to win...
Hope he can do the same here... Carlsen is considered to be a very strong opponent - one of the strongest players of all time... Anand can still beat him but it's not going to be easy to win two out of the next six games...
But best wishes to Anand - he's the most experienced chess player in the world right now... if he works hard, and keeps a calm head, he can do it...

Nice, there is a thread for Chess Championship also.. Watched the Game on 16th, Felt that Anand lost the game from a winning position because of the last 7 or 8 moves, he could have managed..

Anand looks a bit mentally tired... I too feel Anand would beat Carlsen in the games to come..

Followed today's game and commentray. Black position was frigtening at one stage. It looked like Carlsen will lose or at the best can manage a draw. Anand was attacking on the king side with his pawn progression. Only the chess engines gave Carlsen an advantage. All the human commentators were speaking of a comfortable win for Anand. Carlsen is just too good for Anand. This was longtime overdue. I am very happy that Carlsen is winning

Shame...
Deeply disappointed...
The question now is what is the likelihood of Anand challenging for the World Championship in future? He's 44 already, the next Championship match/tournament/whatever form it takes will be in 2015 - Anand will be 46 by then... will he have the energy, the motivation, etc.?
Anand's a great player, he's one of my heroes... hate to see him go out like this...
But it ain't over yet Vishy - you're always a true legend... would love nothing more than to see you come back...

So Carlsen wins the title... Well-done to him - deserving champion...
So it's a wait now...
Really want to see Anand come back... just a matter of time... Hope Anand has the same level of motivation as his fans expect...

I don't understand why you show this much frustration on Anand's lose. He also a human being and had a very a long career. Let us wait and see how he bounces back. Even if he does not, let us accept his era and move on.
