Singam 2 is a perfect example of good marketing. Despite getting avg reviews producers ensured it is getting maximum shows and got good returns.
Thupakki & Singam 2 are almost solo releases as Poda Podi is a washout from day1.
================================================== ========
But Arrambam has huge competition during its entire run. AAA producers ensured its huge opening so it spoiled Arrambam's opening after first two days and Pandiya nadu after first
================================================== ================================================== ==============
week due to good WOM further eat into Arrambams collection. But still it went on to become a blockbuster which tells that Ajith's star power is next to Superstar.
================================================== ==================================================
Thuppaki is a perfect example for Vijay. If he selects such movies with racy screenplay instead of giving more importance to his image his movies will rock at BO.
It will be impossible for anyone to touch Endhiran collections as its dubbed version itself has grossed 45c globally. Only Rajini sir can do it. May be all others can target Endhiran Tamil version collections which is 160c in India and 64c overseas.

Parani,
I believe you need some updation as well. Velayudham did almost the same business as Ezhaam Arivu, which was directed by the same ARM and had a much better crew.
Also please check Thalaivaa's figures. It managed an 8 C business in Chennai and is in the top 10 highest grossers in Malaysia. All you need is to browse through the previous pages of this same thread.
Sura or Villu are utter flops. Agreed. But all actors in question have such films in their port folio. If you want, I can DM you instead of creating fights in an open forum.

Thank You Ajay,
Adding to it. Few high crossing figures of Vijay in Malaysia are 18+ rated movies.
I guess Thupakki and Thalaivaa too.
Correct me if I am wrong.
