விஸ்வரூபம் போல், ஹாலிவுட் தரத்தில் படங்களை இயக்கி வளர்ந்து விட்டபோதும், தன்னை வளர்த்து விட்ட ஏணிகளை மறக்காதவர் கமல். தன் ஆரம்பகால வளர்ச்சிக்கு வேர்களாக இருந்தவர்களை, இப்போதும் நன்றியோடு எண்ணிப் பார்ப்பதோடு, அவர்களுக்கு தன்னால் இயன்ற உதவிகளையும் செய்கிறார்.

உதாரணத்திற்கு, தான் கதாநாயகனாக நடிக்கத் துவங்கிய ஆரம்ப காலத்தில், தன்னை வைத்து, உணர்ச்சிகள், மனிதரில் இத்தனை நிறங்களா போன்ற படங்களை இயக்கிய ஆர்.சி.சக்தியுடன், இப்போது வரை, பழைய நட்பை தொடர்ந்து வருகிறார் கமல்.வன்முறைக்கு எதிரான கருத்தினை மையமாக வைத்து, ரோஜாக்கள் ஐந்து என்றொரு குறும்படத்தை, தற்போது இயக்குகிறார். ஆர்.சி.சக்தி. இதில், அவரது ஐந்து பேரன்கள் நடிக்கின்றனர். இந்த படத்திற்கு, கமலை ஒரு பாடல் பாடி தருமாறு கேட்டுக் கொண்டாராம். அதையடுத்து, பாடலின் சூழலைக் கேட்ட கமல், அதற்கான பாடலையும் தானே எழுதி, பின்னணியும் பாடிக் கொடுத்து, நட்புக்கு பெருமை சேர்த்துள்ளாராம்.

Vikram is (also) one of my favorite movies. I had expressed few months back that I wish to see its remake minus Amjad Khan empire episodes. Minus in the sense a little more attractive & interesting. And a more menacing Villan (found Satyaraj trying to do comedy seriously - worked in Kakki Sattai, in Vikram it looked odd). Vikram early parts of the movie would be mind blowing - the lock opening scene & the suspense investigations (thanks to Sujatha), the 2 heroines and of coarse Kamal, IR and Janakaraj. James-Bond-like missile theft plot, stunt sequences, JB type intro song (which was tried in Asal), Vanithamani sniper killer and the climax gun fight & aircraft sequence which is almost similar to Billa 2 - but the astonishing fact is that it was made 3 decades back.

The sequel may have some problem. Even though Kamal can rejuvenate himself thru movies, the concept of the film will certainly lead to a output similar to Indiana Jones V. I don't know how many of you have seen Chiranjeevi's Anji. Quite an extraordinary film for an adventure fiction, even though inspired from, well we leave it there. The whole problem with this film was its placement of the theatrical release. A Vikram2 from nowhere will land up as Anji post Vishwaroopam series. Plus, the sequel will make one wonder what's it all about as the current viewers don't know Vikram movie or its potential.

Do a remake and then shoot the sequel (if necessary). But one important thing is the Heroines - have faith in VP for his lead lady selections, but just insisting more (please NO Andrea). Imagining "Meendum Meendum Vaa" with VP touch. And of coarse don't tamper with the songs, no remix, remaster it if needed. Sounds created/generated by IR are eternal and can be a club music for Mars citizens even in the year 2222.

vikram.............antha helicopter climax than nyabagathukku varuthu..... kamal and sathyaraj after falling from helicopter fighting for the parachute unintended comedy........ helicopter fights were an unnecessary baggage in 80's and 90's movies........... logic um irukkathu...technical ah vum nalla irukkathu (barring few movies such as Inaintha kaigal, Airport etc.,)
