Thalaiavaa is a good example. I wont be surprised if jilla doesnt release either. I think there should be a rule that any cases brought against a film should happen a month before its release.

Though one should wait till tomorrow to know about the Jilla Vs Veeram battle, here is the small recap on the past clashes to be precise lets revisit the history now ....

2001 Pongal - Dheena VS Friends :

Both Dheena and Friends did a solid business at the box office. Dheena was a mass entertainer and gave a big break in Ajith's career, of course a hit director AR Murugadoss has been introduced with Dheena.

Friends is a family entertainer and it marked the hat-trick success for Vijay after Kushi and Priyamanavale.

2002 Diwali - Baghavathi vs Villain:

Vijay's Baghavathi did average business at the box office while Ajith's Villain was a super hit. The Diwali also seen another film Ramanna which was actually a blockbuster.

2003 Diwali - Thirumalai vs Anjaneya:

2003 Diwali marked the success for Vijay and Thirumalai was actually a comeback movie for the actor while Ajith's Anjaneya did average business.

2006 Pongal - Aadhi vs Paramasivan:

2006 Pongal has both Aadhi and Paramasivan. Paramasivan did okay business while Aadhi was a disaster.

2007 Pongal - Pokkiri vs Aalwar:
