There was another id kiraan ssaidhu or something. He claimed that he is from cosmo and gave fake Boxoffice reports. Cosmo announced that he was a fake.

Yes, if you see pillai activites, when veeram got censored, immediately he updated the run time as 2 hr 41 mins. For jilla since it is over 3 hrs, he maintained silence and after 1 week came with "actual runtime + credits rolling time + documentry run time" nu solli made an impression that actual run time is equal to veeram. Also that Lal's wife comment nu tried to built up the hype. After the release, mark kuduthathoda sari, ice vecha body maathiri jilla aagitaaru, vaaye thorakkala innum. If the situation is other way around, annan kaalula salangai katti aadi irupaaru. Ellam oru pillai to pillai help thaane.

Ajith's "Veeram" and Vijay's "Jilla" have performed exceptionally well at the Chennai box office.

Both the films took a bumper opening in its first weekend. However, "Veeram" outperformed "Jilla" in Chennai and raked in better collections.

According to Behindwoods, "Veeram" grossed ₹3.04 crore from 741 shows in and around Chennai whereas "Jilla" raked in ₹2.72 crore from 714 shows. Both the films had average theatre occupancy of 97 percent during the opening weekend.
