no not at all...it depends on the distributors and the theatre exhibitors to buy and release the movie they want. Veeram was the clear choice no. 1 but the opposite camp gave incentives
so that even their movie got released during pongal. otherwise we would have seen that movie release alone in Kerala and that too due to the factor called Mohan Lal

had an chat with local abirami theatre over regarding success of both films. According to him veeram started to lead jilla in end of first week itself and going too strong. Even though the difference is not much , the film with good entertainment finish well in the end.
As an die hard Vijay fan , I found second half too boring and ameaturish. songs too not helping. I want Vijay to film with good quality directors. Thuppaki and Nanban was well received by all set of people. Don't known the reason selecting film like this. Hope future projects bring him in track.
