Box Office Collections - Jilla vs Veeram

I don't think so Siv. Did you check the post/table? It is heavily loaded in favor of Chennai city. When BW tried to 'clarify' and 'classify' the calculations into Chennai and Chennai subs, it seems to have cracked up their logic of calculations.

AS per BW chennai is lesser than Suburb.. they consider till GanapathiPuram i guess.. from Kasi they consider suburb theatres..

when u compare dance skill of vj wit ajith, i compared acting skill of thala wit vj.. In betn, no other actors needs to compare.. Ajith sivaji sir'um kidaiyaathu.. Vijay michale jackson'um kidaiyaathu..

It was not me who compared but some fan did few days back. And as Freedom mentioned, it should be taken as a joke. Thats all. And on acting front, I dont find much difference between A and V and moreover I dont watch their movies for 'acting'.

I agree that the clash this time is not as bad as red card or flops. So, I think the question is not on whether or not a red card this time. But on who is sustaining relatively?

If we consider the pongal holidays collection alone is enough to take a movie in to the safe zone, then aadhi, alwar would have been hits. Remember, now 30% ET also there to add salt to the wound.


And Cedy, regarding your "chennai, 'some' sub urbs" screen count/collections doubt, i will try to reply tomorrow.

Simple IMO Veeram gained momentum and have better collections after second week but Jilla is not as bad as expected. In my area Jilla got replaced by Veeram in Ganapathi Ram and Arvind from this week.

I just went by the official list of areas under Chennai City and Chennai Suburb. Looks like BW has its own. Cannot be higher anyway with powerhouse venues w.r.t. capacity are all inside the city.
