With all due respects, thamizh, I believe the whole discussion is treading towards a different direction. All that I was trying to home were the analogies the movie shared with Balu Mahendra's life and his relationship with Shobha. Its a fact that it was her death that got him to write Moonram Pirai and that is pretty much evident from the characters on screen. I dont want to be judgemental nor do I want to comment on as to what transpired as for one I wasn't even born at that time. And Venki- I've read a couple of his interviews wherein he mentions Moonram Pirai and how Shobha's death was a driving factor for him write the movie.

^ Even going by your statement, what I said holds true. It was Shoba's death ( whether Balu Mahendra was responsible for it or not or whether he wanted to use the movie as a sort of an explanation to cover his back like you say) that made him write the script. Now please, shall we move on.

''Fox Star Studios should revive Marudhanayagam''

Kamal Haasan's dream project, Marudhanayagam kicked off amid great hype in 1997 in the presence of Queen Elizabeth 2 but the project went through financial roadblocks and the film remains an unfulfilled dream for Padma Bhushan Kamal Haasan till date. He had shot for a few segments of the movie and the trailer of the movie is a much-seen and discussed video till date.

There are talks every once in a while about the film resurfacing but nothing concrete has happened till date. Today at the music launch of Cuckoo, the president of the Tamil Film Producers Council, Keyaar appealed to Fox Star Studios to take up the production of Marudhanayagam and revive Kamal's lifelong dream. Keyaar was all praise for the Ulaganayagan at the meet.

The Producers Council President also said that among 2014's releases, Goli Soda has been the only profitable movie to all parties concerned and he appreciated Lingusamy, who was also present at the launch, for taking up the theatrical distribution of Goli Soda.

எந்திரன், இந்தியன் 2–ம் பாகம் தயாராகிறது: ரஜினி, கமல் நடிக்கின்றனர்

ரஜினி, கமலுக்கு எந்திரன், இந்தியன் படங்கள் மெகா ஹட் படங்களாக அமைந்தன. இருவருமே இப்படங்களில் இரட்டை வேடங்களில் நடித்து இருந்தனர். ஷங்கர் இயக்கினார்.

இந்தியன் படம் 1996–ல் ரிலீசானது. சுமார் ரூ.12 கோடி பட்ஜெட்டில் எடுக்கப்பட்ட இப்படம் ரூ.30 கோடி வசூல் ஈட்டியது. இப்படத்துக்கு தேசிய விருதுகள் கிடைத்தன.

எந்திரன் படம் 2010–ல் ரிலீசானது. ரஜினி ஜோடியாக ஐஸ்வர்யாராய் நடித்து இருந்தார். இவ்விரு படங்களின் 2–ம் பாகத்துக்கான கதையை ஷங்கர் தயார் செய்துள்ளார்.

தற்போது, விக்ரமை வைத்து ‘ஐ’ படத்தை இயக்கி வருகிறார். இது முடிந்ததும் இந்தியன், எந்திரன் படங்களின் 2–ம் பாகத்துக்கான பட வேலைகளை முழு வீச்சில் துவங்குகிறார்.

கோச்சடையான் படத்தை முடித்து விட்டு ரஜினி ஓய்வில் இருக்கிறார். அடுத்த படத்துக்கான கதையை அவர் இன்னும் முடிவு செய்யவில்லை. கமல், விஸ்வரூபம் 2 படத்தை முடித்துள்ளார். அடுத்து உத்தமவில்லன் படத்தில் நடிக்க தயாராகிறார். மலையாளத்தில் ஹிட்டான ‘திரிஷ்யம்’ படத்தின் தமிழ் ரீமேக்கில் நடிக்கவும் ஒப்பந்தமாகியுள்ளார்.

கமல் பிசியாக நடித்துக் கொண்டு இருப்பதால் ரஜினியை வைத்து எந்திரன் 2 படங்களை முதலில் துவங்க ஷங்கர் திட்டமிட்டுள்ளதாக கூறப்படுகிறது.

கமல் கைவசம் உள்ள படங்களை முடித்த பிறகு இந்தியன் 2–ம் பாகம் படப்பிடிப்பை துவக்குகிறார்.
