I tried this potato roast which turned out suvai o suvai.........maybe you all could give it a try & enjoy too!
Urulai - nalla variety Yukon is good for this
cut into cubes.....in a kadaai...add oil ( i used nallenai )...add in the washed drained cut urulai....ellaamey medium slow fire thaan cooking...it will take time but the end product is really good.
to this add turmeric/salt sprinkle little water add karuvepilai ...stir / cover / cook.
in the mean time take little cinnamon/perunjeeragam (very little) / mint & corriander leaves...ithai nalla araichikonga....
see to it that the taters all cooked well till slightly roasted...now add chilli powder stir well till it coats all the cubed taters....now add the araithu vaitha stuff...stir well....add salt...cover & cook ....till it gets roasted
thayir sadam / rasam or even chapathi ipadi ellaathukum good.........
suvai it turned out so great. i think i burnt a bit but still taste was good. my pic was taken in hurry. flickr was giving problem so attached it.
hello all hubby had march april allergy . so all errands on my shoulders incl serving everything in his hands. was too busy and tired of all these. he is better from weekend so enjoyed all these 3 days browsing and watching tv.
