Enakennamo, Vishwa2 will see light in 2015 if UV is releasing by Pre-Diwali time, then RK will take over with (possible) Lingaa release. Kitta-thatta nariya actors (Kenny, Zooriya, Aaariyaa, etc) padam release varathu leaving gap at December 2014.

Also had some sumaal thought. We've seen Shankar use Aaalywood resources like Weta (for upcoming Ai, which Aascar's finances have been crippled, giving delay for VR2). For Vishwa1, Sir went for mixing at Warner Bros and Lee Whittaker (which spawned his services in Ktown with Arrambam, now RK's Lingaa). Why he hasn't gone with bramandam (ala Shankar) of late barring 10A's makeup tests and filming many sequences? Do you think it would attract the general audiences (casual-neutral) besides his fans like us?

It will be purely bad luck if 2 movies are ready by July and not getting released in 2014.

Lingu would see that Uttama Villain released by August. Don't see much of problem at this point of time since the movie is not having much of technical challenges.

If Aaascar manage to release "AI" within September, VR2 can be released in November.

I get a feel nowadays that Kamal does not want to carry all the burden himself post Viswaroopam issues. Leaving the production of VR-2 to Aascar, acting under the direction of Ramesh Aravind, and accepting to work with Jeethu Joseph in the remake of Dhrishyam, all these things indicate that he wants to be in peace for an year or two.

Not sure whether his Hollywood venture is in his mind as of now..

Gauthami to star opposite Kamal Haasan in Drishyam remake? - See more at: http://www.hindustantimes.com/entert....suZ2EHns.dpuf
The Malayalam film, Drishyam, was so popular that remakes of it in Telugu and Tamil are being planned. A thriller of sorts, this story of a video parlour owner, played to perfection by Mohanlal with Meena as his wife, Drishyam may have raised questions of ethics and morality, but who cared.

The masses in Kerala loved it, and one reason could have been the way the police, despite their unimaginable brutality, were fooled by the school dropout parlour guy.

In the Tamil version of Drishyam, whose principal photography will begin in the middle of July, Kamal Haasan will step into Mohanlal’s part, and Haasan can be brilliant if he wants to. But what is more interesting is that Gauthami could be essaying Haasan’s screen wife.

Gauthami has had a roller-coaster life. At the age of 35, cancer struck her, but she fought that, and now lives with Haasan. Both do not believe in marriage. Both have had failed marriages. Kamal, in fact, has had two with Vani Ganapathy and Sarika.

Jethu Joseph, who will also helm the Tamil edition (he directed the Malyalam version), has said that Gauthami was keen on doing his movie, and this will mark her return to the big screen after 15 years.

Gauthami entered Tamil cinema in 1988 with the Rajinikanth-starrer, Guru Shishyan, although her first film was in Telugu, Dayamayudu. She had paired with Haasan earlier (notably in Thevar Magan and Aboorva Sagotharargal) and even with Mohanlal in Mani Ratnam’s Iruvar as well as Mammootty in Dhruvam.

Why is Vishwaroopam 2 getting delayed?

Vishwaroopam 2 is arguably the most expected Kamal Haasan film currently, even though the actor is also a part of Uttama Villain and the soon to be launched Drishyam remake. The first part released in early-2013 and went on to become a smash hit. The sequel was expected to make it to theaters last year itself but it is yet to see the light of day.

Lead actress Pooja Kumar, who plays the role of Kamal's wife and a nuclear oncologist in the film, spoke about the film in a recent interview and also pointed out the reason for the film's delay

"The film is slightly delayed because it has a lot of special effects,”

Pooja also spoke about all the high-octane action that she is doing in the film.

"There is a sequence where we defuse bombs and engage enemies in a gun battle — all under water. Thanks to my scuba diving training, I have performed these stunts by myself"
