Vetri Vizha - one of the most re-released films of Kamal, probably due to the large number of stunt sequences & thrill-a-minute first half. The other frequently re-released movies are Sigappu Rojakkal, Vikram, Khaki Chattai & Tik Tik Tik.

VV - Post interval, especially after the flashback, the script goes downhill. Janagaraj's sermon and the entire sequence which lead to 'Vaanamenna Keezhirukku' is a torture. Prathap Pothen's amateurish direction skills are evident in these scenes, as well as those involving Radha Ravi (thoppai joke), SS Chandran (is this the only movie he did with Kamal?), and the fake kidnap preceding 'Poongatru' song. Prabhu fans were quite disappointed with his role.

Pluses - Kamal in a no-nonsense character, Superfast screenplay in the first half, Interval block which gives goosebumps to Kamal fans, the stunt scenes - with Vikram Dharma inside the elevator, clash with Samudram and the scenes involving Zinda are all top class. Illaiyaraja's haunting BGM is a major plus. IIRC, the audio of VV was a platinum jubilee hit & the movie itself crossed 100 days, making it a success in A, B and C centers. But it was released along with the more family-friendly Maappillai which became a silver jubilee hit.

சென்னை: சந்தானம் நடித்துள்ள வாலிப ராஜா படத்தின் இசையை வெளியிடுகிறார் நடிகர் கமல் ஹாஸன். ‘கண்ணா லட்டு தின்ன ஆசையா' படத்துக்குப் பிறகு, அந்த படத்தில் நடித்த சந்தானம், சேது, விசாகா ஆகியோர் மீண்டும் ஒன்றாக இணைந்து நடித்துள்ள படம் ‘வாலிப ராஜா'. இப்படத்தில் சந்தானம் மனநல மருத்துவராக நடித்துள்ளார். பாலிவுட் நடிகை நுஸ்ரத் என்பவரும் தமிழ் சினிமாவுக்கு அறிமுகமாகிறார்.

இப்படத்திற்கு கதை, திரைக்கதை, வசனம் எழுதி இயக்குகிறார் சாய் கோகுல் ராம்நாத். இவர் கே.வி.ஆனந்திடம் உதவியாளராக இருந்தவர். இப்படத்தை வாங்ஸ் விஷன் ஒன் என்ற படநிறுவனம் தயாரிக்கிறது. லோகநாதன் ஒளிப்பதிவை கவனிக்கிறார். ரதன் இசையமைத்திருக்கிறார். முழுநீள காமெடி பொழுதுபோக்கு படமாக உருவாகி வரும் இப்படத்தின் இசையை ஜூன் 25-ம் தேதி வெளியிடுகின்றனர்.

இதில் கமல்ஹாசன் சிறப்பு விருந்தினராகக் கலந்துக்கொண்டு முதல் இசைத் தட்டை வெளியிடுகிறார்.

Triple treat for Kamal Haasan fans?

Kamal Haasan‘Ulaga Nayagan’ Kamal Haasan is currently the busiest artist than others. The sequel of Vishwaroopam is almost done except few patch works. Post production is taking place in full swing and the action thriller is expected to hit the screens worldwide in few weeks. Kamal’s another short time project Uthama Villain directed by his close friend and popular artist Ramesh Aravind is in final stage. The film will be ready for release after Vishwaroopam II.

The ace actor has also signed for the Tamil remake of Drishyam – a mega hit Malayalam movie directed by Jeethu Joseph. According to Suresh Balaje of Wide Angle Creations the shooting is planned for mid of July this year immediately after the completion of Uthama Villain. The team is planning to wrap up the movie in single or two schedules at the maximum. Currently the crew members are searching for apt locations which is expected to be completed in a week’s time.

Possibilities are high for the release of three Kamal Haasan films in the year 2014 which is a rare thing in Tamil cinema in recent years for a leading actor.
