பணத்திற்காக படம் இயக்குவது பிடிக்காது: இயக்குநர் செல்வராகவன்

பணத்திற்காக எந்த ஒரு படத்தையும் இயக்குவதில்லை என்று இயக்குநர் செல்வராகவன் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
ஆர்யா, அனுஷ்கா நடித்த 'இரண்டாம் உலகம்' படத்தை இயக்கினார் செல்வராகவன். ஹாரிஸ் ஜெயராஜ் இசையமைத்த இப்படம் ரசிகர்கள் மத்தியிலும், விமர்சகர்கள் மத்தியிலும் பெரும் தோல்வியை சந்தித்தது.
அதனைத் தொடர்ந்து சிம்பு, த்ரிஷா இணைப்பில் ஒரு படத்தினை இயக்க முடிவு செய்தார் செல்வராகவன். அப்படத்தை வருண் மணியன் தயாரிப்பதாக இருந்தது. அப்படம் தொடங்குவதற்கு சிக்கல் ஏற்பட்டது.

'இரண்டாம் உலகம்' தோல்வியால், செல்வராகவன் - பி.வி.பி சினிமாஸ் நிறுவனத்திற்கு இடையே பிரச்சினை ஏற்பட்டது. அப்பிரச்சினை இன்னும் முடியாததால், இப்படம் தொடங்க முடியாத சூழ்நிலை ஏற்பட்டது.
இந்நிலையில், இயக்குநர் செல்வராகவன் தனது ட்விட்டர் பக்கத்தில், "நான் எப்போதுமே ஒரு படத்தை நிர்பந்தத்துக்காகவோ பணத்திற்காகவோ இயக்கியது இல்லை. ஒரு திரைக்கதை என்னை அடிமையாக்க வேண்டும். ஒருவழியாக, ஒரு நல்ல திரைக்கதை கிடைத்திருக்கிறது. அதை முழுமையாக்கும் பணியில் ஈடுபட்டுள்ளேன். அப்படம் பற்றிய தகவல்களை விரைவில் அறிவிக்கிறேன்" என்று குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்.

selva just gave only one flop movie. Though AO did not well in BO, it was critically acclaimed by all. No one can replace selva spot. he is still genius,creator, whatever. No one can easily give 7g,Kaadhal konden, Pudhupettai kinda movies.

AO was a really bad movie. No one I know liked it. He should just stop doing fantasy movies. He doesn't know how to make a decent one.

Bro if a movie doesnt get commercial success its enuf to say it as flop and AO got only mixed reviews.........Even pudhupettai didnt do well inspite of being a cult movie

ஜூலை 14 முதல் தொடங்குகிறது 'தாரை தப்பட்டை' படப்பிடிப்பு


இயக்குநர் பாலா - சசிகுமார் இணையும் 'தாரை தப்பட்டை' படப்பிடிப்பு ஜூலை 14ம் தேதி முதல் சென்னையில் தொடங்க திட்டமிட்டு இருக்கிறார்கள்.

'பரதேசி' படத்தைத் தொடர்ந்து இயக்குநர் பாலா, சசிகுமாரை நாயகனாக்கி இயக்க இருப்பதாக அறிவித்த படம் 'தாரை தப்பட்டை'. இப்படத்தின் இசைக்காக மீண்டும் இளையராஜாவுடன் கைகோர்த்திருக்கிறார் இயக்குநர் பாலா. மற்ற தொழில்நுட்ப கலைஞர்கள் அனைவருமே 'பரதேசி' படத்தில் பணியாற்றியவர்கள் தான்.

இப்படத்திற்காக கரகாட்டக் கலை உள்ளிட்ட பலவற்றை கற்று வந்தார் இயக்குநர் சசிகுமார். இப்படத்தின் படப்பிடிப்பு எப்போது தொடங்கும் என்று அனைவரும் எதிர்நோக்கி இருந்தார்கள். ஆனால் அனைத்து கலைகளும் முறையாக கற்றவுடன் தான் படப்பிடிப்பு என்பதில் உறுதியாக இருந்தார் சசிகுமார் .

இந்நிலையில் தற்போது ஜூலை 14ம் முதல் 'தாரை தப்பட்டை' படப்பிடிப்பு சென்னையில் தொடங்கியது. அதனைத் தொடர்ந்து தஞ்சாவூரில் படப்பிடிப்பு நடத்த திட்டமிட்டு இருக்கிறார். சசிகுமார் ஜோடியாக வரலெட்சுமி நடிக்க இருக்கும் நிலையில், சசிகுமாருக்கு தங்கச்சியாக பாடகி பிரகதி நடிக்க ஒப்பந்தமாகி இருக்கிறார்.

ஏற்கனவே 'பரதேசி' படத்தில் இடம்பெற்ற 'ஓர் மிருகம்' பாடல் மூலம் பாடகியாக அறிமுகமானவர் பிரகதி. தற்போது 'தாரை தப்பட்டை' மூலம் வெள்ளித்திரையில் அறிமுகமாக இருக்கிறார்

Selva Ragavan has great ideas, often writes them out into wonderful scripts but as he starts shooting the script into a movie, he tries to value add and end-up deviating. The premises for AO was great, the ideas were good, the story was decent, but the movie lacked coherence and ended up as a boring/slow venture.

His Mayyakam Enna was average at best and it only looked like a modern-day rehearsh of Kadhal Konden/7G Rainbow colony.

Irandam Ulagam presented a confused concept, presented in a confused manner and directed by a confused director.

He doesn't stick to one script is well known, the other painstaking thing is the time he takes to complete a movie which often offshoots the budget.

Then he comes out and blames the sad/saturated nature of the Tamil Industry

As Vinod quite rightly pointed out, he is neither a people's favourite nor a critic's delight.

No questioning his intellect or talent, but sometimes lack of discipline and consistency suppresses superior talent.

Director's Ram's speech also spews of poor sportsmanship. I mean, he has every right to say what he wants to anywhere, but walking on stage to collect his award and then criticising the panel of partiality is just pure hypocrisy.

After a really promising Katradhu Tamizh where his story/direction and casting was spot-on, his second venture had a good story, but the direction/casting was poor, especially the choice of the child's dad.

The likes of Bala and Ameer atleast seem to accept defeat a lot gracefully, unlike the likes of Selva and Ram.
