Kamalhassan is on a acting spree. He's already shouldering too much of responsibilities to complete 'Viswaroopam 2' and 'Uthama Villain'. He has never missed solid scripts from other languages. One could recall his roles of 'Vasool Raja' from 'Munnabhai' and 'Unnaippol Oruvan' from 'A Wednesday'. The moment 'Drishyam' started to make all the right noises across the country he showed keen interest to do the role of 'George Kutty'. The remakes in Kannada and Telugu has already received warm welcome from their respective audience.

As reported earlier, the script of the film will go in for minor changes suiting the taste and preferences of Tamil audience and Kamal himself will be discussing and finalizing the changes along with the director. Drishyam's official remake rights sold like hot cakes to other languages as well. But the director chose to redo his duties only for Tamil. Gauthami is touted to play the role which Meena performed to finesse in original. The official announcement regarding the same is awaited.

Kamal & Gauthami has displayed their skills together in 'Thevar Magan', 'Kuruthipunal', 'Nammavar', and 'Apoorva Sagodharargal'. The return of this romantic duo will be very interesting if they decide to frame love one more time.

Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan is all set for his next


Mohanlal and Meena starrer “Drishyam” became a blockbuster in Malayalam and it encouraged other film industries to go for a remake. After being remade in Telugu and Kannada, and emerging as hits in the respective industries, Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan is doing the lead role in the remake of Drishyam in Tamil, as reported earlier.

The pooja of this movie was held recently in Chennai and the shooting of this untitled movie is scheduled to start by the first week of August.

I'm interested in knowing who would play the 2 cops - the lady and the inspector. It would be good to see Kamal acting with stars out of his close circle. Nadhiya as the lady cop would be good. Hope he doesn't bring in Urvashi again.

Would be nice to have Asha saretth (who played the lady in original and in kannada remake) be introduced again in Tamil. Even then, Ramya Krishnan would be good choice.

The first one who comes to my mind is nadhiya for police role but gouthami will be a terrible choice for menna role.....meena did it so convincingly...inspector role will be a big challenge ...

+1. Asha Sarath was too good in the original. Both Nadhiya and RK would be good, when pitted against Kamal. That role has more importance than the one played by Meena. But Meena's portrayal of the caring and naive wife was quite convincing. I'm not sure if Gauthami can show that innocence.
