Record breaking release for Kaththi in Kerala?
Heroes become bankable stars only when their releases regularly create a buzz both in overseas markets and other regional states. Ilayathalapathy Vijay is one such actor who has a prominent fan following especially in Kerala.
Just like the usual traditions of a Vijay film release in Tamilnadu, Kerala is no less when it comes to all the hoopla and fan fare for a Vijay starrer. Since the Ghilli days, Vijay has had proper, hardcore fan clubs in Kerala.
With Jilla, which also had the Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal, having a really wide release in Kerala, now Kaththi is also reportedly set for a record breaking 200 plus screens in 'God's Own Country'.
Kaththi's Kerala distributor Thameens Release is dealing with the logistics to make sure that Kaththi gets a truly big opening. They have even come out with attractive Malayalam posters for Kaththi.

I think problems not yet solved completely just because soundarya has bought the audio rights(She just has the audio rights and not the movie rights). Most of the problems are cleared due to Jeya TV bought the rights of the movie(The only reason)! Problems may arise during release time,but not sure.
Movie not releasing on 17th as the post production is still going on and hasn't been censored yet & theatre booking is still going on! So definitely on 22nd!

ஏ.ஆர்.முருகதாஸ் இயக்கத்தில் விஜய், சமந்தா நடிப்பில் தீபாவளிக்கு வெளியாக உள்ள படம் ‘கத்தி’. தற்போது ரசிகர்கள் மத்தியில் இப்படத்துக்கு பெருத்த எதிர்பார்ப்பு உருவாகியுள்ளது.
சமீபத்தில் ‘கத்தி’ படத்தின் ஆண்ட்ராய்டு மொபைல் கேம் வெளியிடப்பட்டது. மாஃபியா கும்பல் வசம் சமந்தா, ஸ்பீட் பைக் சேஸிங், துப்பாக்கி ஷூட்டிங் என அனல் பறக்கும் இந்த ஆண்ட்ராய்டு கேமை இப்போது நான்கு நாட்களில் 45, 000 பேர் டவுண்லோட் செய்துள்ளனர்.
இதுவரை இந்தியப் படங்களை அடிப்படையாக வைத்து உருவான விளையாட்டுகளில் ’கத்தி’ படத்தின் கேம் தான் அதிகம் டவுண்லோடு செய்யப்பட்டது.
இதற்கு முன்பு ’க்ரிஷ்’, ’ரா ஒன்’ மற்றும் ‘கோச்சடையான்’ படங்களின் கேம் தான் முதலிடத்தில் இருந்தன. இந்தப் படங்களைப் பின்னுக்குத் தள்ளி விட்டு ‘கத்தி’ முதலிடம் பிடித்ததோடு கூகுள் ப்ளே ஸ்டோரிலும் முன்னணி இடம் பிடித்துள்ளது.
