I read that Papanasam is given free dates and he asked to pay him after the film runs and they get money. If Nammavar does the same for all movies, Marudanayagam and other dream projects will never happen.
Atleast for commercial movies like UV, he should have got his remuneration !!
I mentioned UV is medium budget compared to VR1 / VR2... He is not acting free for UV.
For Papanasam, it is said that he will take his remuneration once the movie is sold to Distributors..

Even during I production in the last 6 months, it seems they had money issues and there was many months gap where no work was done. Vikram got sick and that was also being told as one reason.
Eventually, I would release. But if the result is sub-par then it creates issues for VR-2 for sure.
KH should have taken over the production of VR-2 as well... Since he wanted to play safe post VR-1 issues, the release of VR2 is getting delayed for a long time now..
Once "AI" is released, i think there will be a problem of all 3 movies would fight for release dates..

He had to go through hell releasing VR-1. Its only natural he opted out of producing VR-2. Moreover in his interviews he indicated that though VR-1 was a blockbuster, he didnt make much of a profit from all the delay and everything. Unfortunately he thought it'll be smooth sailing with Oscar but seems not the case.
Its been so long since VR-1 that many may have to see it once again to warm up to VR-2
Hopefully thats not the case ...

KH had financial problems during release time of VR-1. So he borrowed heavily from Aascar who in turn got VR-2.
I think release dates is the least of the problem. They can find a way out (all 3 can be released 45 days apart). If you announce a date and stick with it, there will not be any confusion even if you release in April 2015. But they are unable to do it.

No, he is not acting for free in UV. But he was not paid and for this he got to be the joint producer (based on his remuneration). All the other expenses for the movie paid by Lingu.

Nothing surprising. Kind off expected this right from the time Anjaan released. Lingusamy has become such a laughing stock that I feel he's lost a lot of his credibility. Its gonna be anybody's guess as to when the film will release.
