‘கத்தி’ படத்துக்கு கேரளாவில் சுமார் 200 தியேட்டர்கள் வரை முதல் 2 நாட்களுக்கு மட்டுமே கொடுப்பதாக இருந்தது. அதற்கு காரணம் அதே தீபாவளியையொட்டி ஷாருக்கானின் ‘ஹேப்பி நியூ இயர்’ படமும் ஜெயராமன் நடித்த ‘நங்களோட வீட்டிலே அதிதிகள்’ என்ற மலையாளப் படமும் ரிலீசாவதாக இருந்தது. இதனால் 2 நாள் கழித்தே கத்திக்கு கொடுக்கப்பட்ட தியேட்டர்களின் எண்ணிக்கை கணிசமாக குறைக்கப்படும் என்று அக்ரிமெண்ட் போடப்பட்டே ரிலீஸ் செய்யப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.
ஆனால் திட்டமிட்டபடி ‘ஹேப்பி நியூ இயர்’ படம் மட்டுமே ரிலீசானது. ஜெயராமின் படம் ரிலீசாகவில்லை. காரணம், கத்தி படத்துக்கு ரசிகர்கள் மத்தியில் நல்ல ரெஸ்பான்ஸ் இருப்பதாலும், வசூலும் எதிர்பார்த்த அளவுக்கு இருப்பதாலும் ஜெயராம் படத்தை 1 வாரத்துக்கு தள்ளி வைப்பது எனவும் அங்குள்ள வினியோகஸ்தர்கள் கூடி முடிவெடுத்து இருக்கிறார்கள்.
அதோடு இந்த விஷயம் நடிகர் ஜெயராம் காதுகளுக்கும் போக ”பரவாயில்லை, நம்மால விஜய் பட வசூல் பாதிக்க வேணாம்” என்று ஓ.கே சொல்லியிருக்கிறார். இதனால் ஜெயராம் படம் ரிலீஸ் தள்ளி வைக்கப்பட்ட எல்லா தியேட்டர்களிலும் இன்றுவரை ‘கத்தி’ படம் தான் ஓடிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது. அதன்படி பார்த்தால் தொடர்ந்து ரெண்டாவது வாரமும் கத்தி கேரளாவில் 100க்கும் மேற்பட்ட தியேட்டர்களில் ஓடிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது என்பது மட்டுமில்லாமல், வாங்கி வினியோகம் செய்தவருக்கும் எந்த நஷ்டமும் வராது என்பதே உண்மை.

Before and after, both. This is becoming an unhealthy trend in Tamil film industry. Some serious steps need to be taken to curb this.
This guy filed a case on ARM and the case has been dismissed by the court. And this is not the first time he is accusing someone to have stolen his story. If he allows that to happen, then only he is to be blamed. There are many teams which involve in discussions with many directors and the same idea, same scenes often get made in two or more different movies. That is why you have to get the rights for your story first before even discussing it with someone else. And if this Gopi doesn't know that procedure, only God can help him. Ignorantia juris non excusat.
Also, there is always another side of the coin.

Yes Ajay. True that. If the movie had failed..he would have moved on to the next big script and project. Just cos it's a huge success...now he wants his share of fake fame...by trying to gain some sympathy. There is enough hunger within the media, some of who will cover this as BREAKING news
